“satisfying, but not great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2012

I had a craving for fish tacos, so we went here for dinner last night. It was really really loud--maybe the only bar in town? We could barely hear each other at the table.
The tacos themselves were tasty--we tried both the Baja style and the blackened Ahi. But at 6.95 each hardly a reasonable price for a taco! The dinner price included rice and beans--totally blah pureed beans and bland rice. Nothing special. Kids meal 12.95 for a two mini bean burritos--
Guacamole was good, a bit salty. Margarita generous but not a delicious TOP SHELF margi that I ordered.
I can't figure out why everything was good but not great--Probably just too far from Cali/mex to capture the taste of good Mexican food. But it's not hard food to cook...sooo?

People working there were all very very nice and kind to us-

Overall if you can afford to eat out with five people at 160.00--go to Joe's instead.

“A surprising find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2012

We stumbled across this restaurant after a drive up the North Shore. I had two tacos - one shrimp and one ahi and they were both really tasty. My son loved his mahi taco. A great place to eat if you are taking surf lessons nearby or are going back to your hotel after a drive up the North Shore.

“Not good value, but good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2012

The waiter was very nice, but the food was slow to come out and our guacomole was forgotten! The salad was the best thing I had, locally grown greens and locally made dressing. I ordered two shrimp tacos and rice and beans for 18 dollars.. There was about 6 small peices of shrimp total.. Not good value at all, but what little there was was good. Can't say I would go back.
