Some of us wanted local style breakfast food, which others wanted waffles, hash and scrambled eggs. The solution was Koa Pancakes. It is a counter service restaurant, where service is on Styrofoam plates, however the food is well prepared and fresh.
There were five of us and all were happy with what was served. And happily, the prices are very reasonable; probably the same if we went to a fast food restaurant, but the quality and quantity well beyond what we would have gotten elsewhere.
The total tab for three people was $17; got corned beef hash (which was canned hash but tasty nonetheless), eggs and potatoes, a order of scrambled eggs and potatoes and a waffle.
I ordered Portuguese Sausage, eggs and rice. Probably local made sausage, but so much better than what I find on the West Coast.
My sister order Kalbi ribs, rice and eggs. She was also a very happy person.
We would have all been happy to return but we found this place on our 2nd to last day of vacation.
This restaurant is very popular and pretty small, so plan accordingly. We ended up seated outside on picnic tables..
