We stayed at Aulani for 7 nights in a one bedroom villa. So glad I booked this room. We were in HI for 13 days and having a kitchen and washer dryer really made us feel like we were at home and not a hotel. Never heard our neighbors. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Since our kids are older we were able to enjoy the lazy river and slides but call the adult pool our hangout. The beach is also great. We loved that you couldn’t put towels on chairs until 8 am! This was very much appreciated! Our room had everything we needed with almost two bathrooms it was easy getting all of us ready after our daily adventures. Ko Olina is a central place to stay. It also is the dry side of the island so the weather was perfect everyday we were there! We went to Waikiki one day after a hike for lunch and were so glad we weren’t staying there. Highly recommend staying in Ko Olina. Rent a car and explore the island from there! Definitely a lot of families and young kids, but we were happy with the adult only pool. AMA ama was disappointing for dinner( service was not what we would have expected and one of the fish dishes was served very undercooked) . We ate off the resort mostly. There is a super target not far and later found out that Safeway and Costco will deliver to the resort for you! We only cooked breakfast and some lunches in the room. Lunch and breakfast options were great at Aulani. We did not visit the buffet during our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel. We have two kids a boy (15)and girl (18) and we love that Disney had a pull out sofa bed and a separate pull out. This was a great space for our family. I would stay here again!

Room Tip: High floors were quiet and nice view. We had an ocean view

We took our kids to Aulani for a week, and that just wasn’t long enough!! Disney left no detail to chance when they created this property and experience. In the heart of Ko’lina, Aulani was centrally located to restaurants, shopping and adventure. But truly, we hardly wanted to leave the resort. Our kids adored the water slides, lazy river, pools and beach area. We are at each of the restaurants on site and each was exceptional. My husband and I enjoyed a spa day while the kids played at Auntie’s Playhouse. We also snorkeled on property and participated in the resort activities such as the evening Luau. We loved our time at Aulani and we will return one day soon.

This place is amazing. Its away from the touristy hustle of Waikiki and has everything your family needs. Don't get me wrong, its certainly not the cheapest place to stay, and the restaurants can be a bit pricey but my family and I would go back in a heart beat. We loved our stay so much we seriously though of joining the Disney Vacation Club. Travelling with children is not easy, we have a 6 yo and a 16 m.o., but this place certainly makes it that much easier. Being able to have access to a toaster in the room plus fridge meant that we could save money on going out for breakfast. They happily provided us with a kettle and also a high chair. All you needed to do was ask and the staff will bend over backwards to assist. So much to do, but at the same time, spaces to be able to relax. Pools and activities to suit all ages. You don't always need to eat on site their is an ABC supermarket and plenty of other food options to select from just across the road. Kids have the chance to take photos daily with Disney characters which is always a highlight and you can also borrow 2 dvd's daily to your room from the extensive Disney collection. We would definitely stay again. In fact my little one has decided she's moving to Hawaii when she's older!

Room Tip: If you can afford it book in to a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment.

As Disney Fans, we have been longtime Disneyland passholders, we always made sure to at least stop by for a quick visit while on Oahu, but never stayed until this year. We had family visiting from Europe, so I wanted to find a hotel with a kitchen, there are not a lot of options other then Vacation Rentals, which were out, because if you go on vacation you wanna have amenities and you wanna have the ocean as your backyard. While searching, Aulani popped up among a couple of other hotels, and even though the price was higher than the others, the reviews were favorable, so I figured why not try it out.

We were greeted with leis and we each got our own personalized room keys. One negative, it's quite far from downtown Waikiki, so if you're looking for party atmosphere, this is not the place for you and there is really not a lot within walking distance, the Monkey Pod, which got quite pricey, is the only nicer restaurant within walking distance if you don't wanna eat in the hotel.

The 2-bedroom Villa was amazing! So not what I expected, the room looked like it was brand new and what was nice is that it did not smell like food at all, there was a powder room just off the kitchen, which was nice for the person sleeping on the couch in the living room (kitchen area), a full kitchen with servings for 8, everything was very clean, the only problem we had, the previous person(s) had broken a nob off the oven and just barely stuck it on, so we left it off, but now of course it looked like we broke it, but oh well, I forgot to report it to the concierge.

Poolside there were plenty of lounge chairs, but we felt not enough umbrellas in certain areas, the path to the beach was convenient and opportunities to shower off before heading back to the pool.
Overall a very pleasant stay. Can't wait to go back again!

Secluded on its own beach lagoon, this treasure is not only for adults, but young adults and kids, who equally enjoy this resort. The Weekend Brunches are price reasonably, compared to its neighbor the Four Seasons. Mickey is around most of the time. The water park and last river have huge yellow floats. The decor is Hawaiian motif, especially concentrating on the historical make-up of the island. Dark works and boulders set the tone. The Spa is loaded with a variety of services with plenty of treatment rooms.
