Owner description: The Polynesian Cultural Center, voted the #1 attraction in Hawaii by USA Today, is located along the famous North Shore of Oahu. Explore 42 acres of tropical splendor featuring 6 authentic villages representing the island cultures of Hawaii, Fiji, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Samoa, Tahiti, and Tonga. Mingle with Pacific islanders as they share the majesty of their culture through music, dance and traditional hands-on activities. Our most popular dining option is the award-winning Ali’i Luau. This royal feast blends a delicious array of island and mainland dishes with the excitement of authentic island entertainment from across Polynesia. Finish your adventure though the power of “Ha: Breath of Life,” an action-packed evening show. Ignited by fire, song and dance featuring over 100 Polynesian performers, this story of passion will make this day a truly unforgettable experience. The Polynesian Cultural Center: all of Polynesia in one exciting place.

One day is not enough to experience everything however this was one of the highlights of our vacation. We booked the Ambassador Luau Package which you are provided with a shell lei and get different perks throughout the day. We had also purchased the mini bus transportation that picked/dropped us at our hotel so preventing the need to rent a car. Our guide, Cousin Olivia was greet. She was truly genuine when she was explaining to our group her appreciation that we took the time to visit the PCC.

The villages: There are 6 different villages to visit and experience their cultures. They were all very unique. Each village had a presentation. With the Ambassador program, cousin Olivia made sure that we would arrive on time for each presentation and knew where to guide us.

Canoe pageant; There was a canoe parade where all 6 villages would come down the river in canoes. This was very interesting.

Boat ride; At the end of the day, the group ended the day by embarking on a canoe to bring us back to the entrance since the park is very big. This was a nice break from all the walking.

Luau: This was excellent and a nice experience. As part of the Ambassador program, you are given a flower lei. Lots of food. Our family liked the food. The show during the luau was great.

Ha: Breath of Life. We attended the evening show. This show is outstanding! If you can find the time to attend even after a long day, I found that it was worth it. The teenagers also liked it as well.

We spent the whole day at the center. I recommend paying the extra for a tour guide and seeing Ha Breathe of Life. The tour guide makes your visit smooth and easy and Ha is a spectacular "Broadway" show about the life of a boy from birth to manhood. We had front row seats and it was truly an awesome experience.

This was a wonderful day spent learning and experiencing a glance into the Polynesian people, culture and history. We were totally entertained and enchanted with the entire center. I would highly recommend a day spent at this wonderful center and it is a whole day. We spent 10 hours including the Breath Of Life show in the evening, which you absolutely should not miss. So thoroughly enjoyable. Truly great part of my first trip to Hawaii.

We did a day package that included the different island attractions during the day, plus the luau and evening show.

The island attractions during the day were interesting, but pretty focused on tourists and crowd participation. It's less of a museum and more of mini-shows that start every half an hour. Families would have probably had more fun with this part than a younger couple.

The luau was good, but no adult drinks because the whole thing is run by the Mormons.

The evening show was very good and of very high quality. This is what made the whole day worth it. It is possible to just go to the luau and/or show, which may be a good option for those not interested in the daytime activities.
