This hotel is located pretty close to downtown, about a 10 to 15 minute walk which is helpful so you don't have to fight for parking. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. It was quiet as well - we didn't hear other people staying in the hotel or road noise.

We enjoyed an awesome 4 night stay at the Bar Harbor Quality Inn on June 27 to July 1, 2016. The staff and housekeeping were very pleasant and helpful. Shaylyn checked us in and out, and was very nice, courteous and professional. The free morning breakfast was spectacular with varied choices on the menu daily (egg sliders, sausage gravy on biscuits, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes) and always waffles, cereal, pastries, toast, english muffins, etc. Free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby at all times was greatly appreciated. One night they had a barbeque with hot dogs, hamburgers and chips and a drink for free!! Very nice touch and we really enjoyed it, thanks! Rooms were clean and comfortable. One minor issue was a few spots of mildew on the tub tile, which I am sure is very hard to control in this moist climate. All in all a wonderful experience and would stay here again in the blink of an eye. The prices were very fair. We had two rooms, as our daughter and her family were traveling with us (224 with two queen beds and 225 with a king bed). We used the pool, and it was clean and nice. Wi-Fi worked very well.

Room Tip: 224 and 225 on second floor were very nice.

We stayed five reward nights. This room had the smallest bathroom ever. Good thing we're small or we'd never fit. The carpet was crunchy and needed replaced. The good parts are: the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice variety across the street. Ten minute walk to Bar Harbor. Close and clean guess laundry facility.

Thank you for the response. We are very close to downtown and close to all entrances to the Park. We had many rugs replaced this spring and have many more to do. It was nice to see you did receive our friendly service and enjoyed our great complimentary breakfast.

We just came back from a 3 night stay at the Quality Inn in Bar Harbor, ME. Check in was quick and efficient. The woman at the front desk was kind enough to give a stuffed moose to my 3 year old boy who was very excited. It was a nice touch of hospitality. Our room keys worked without incident. Upon entering the room, it initially had a musty odor to it. Running the A/C solved that problem for the most part. Beds were firm but comfortable. Sheets were clean. Linens were clean and there were enough for our family during our entire stay. The room had the usual amenities such as microwave, fridge, hair dryer, iron, and safe. Rooms were quite and we didn't hear anyone making noise or slamming doors. We asked for a 2nd floor room. Wi-Fi signal was strong and the network speed was great. Shower water pressure was excellent. My wife and I sat out on the balcony while our kids went to bed. Other than 2 chairs, it would've been nice to see a small table to put drinks, newspapers, cell phones, etc on. Location was excellent as well as its only a short walk to the village green and a quick 5 minute drive to Acadia. Breakfast was in a building across the street. If it rained, there were umbrellas to use in the lobby or in the breakfast building. Food quality was good. There was plenty of variety and food never sat out long. This hotel could benefit from some cosmetic improvements as walkways and stairs looked like they see heavy use with worn paint everywhere. I'd consider staying here again considering it's half the price of the B&B's downtown.

We so appreciate the detailed message to help us see what we need to review. I really like your idea of a small table and will start to look into that. Being seasonal open only for 6 months it is difficult to get most of our painting done. The painting and walkways are projects we are working on now. So glad to hear our new WiFi worked well with a strong signal since we have just had a new company install for us.

Our group stayed here for two days. The hotel is a little dated, but well worth the price compared to other places to stay. The breakfast is outstanding and the service is even better. The staff were pleasant and went out of their way to accommodate. One in our group fell ill and because we were on motorcycles, the manager actually drove that guest to the hospital in her personal vehicle. How's that for a caring staff! BTW... that guest is safe at home and doing much better. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay!

My family and I stayed at the Quality Inn Bar Harbor over the weekend. Check in was seamless and the front desk attendant was very helpful. The hotel is located walking distance to the touristy areas of Bar Harbor, however far enough away that you don't hear the noise. Although mostly clean, the rooms were are extremely worn and outdated. There is also fear of setting the fire alarm from the shower fog. We paid 125 a night however I frequently heard them quoting prices upwards of $200. If this your cup of tea, have it, but it is most definately not mine.

It is nice to hear that the check in was good with all the information you would need. The hotel is in a great location for walking downtown but having a quiet night. Our alarms are very sensitive and go off with heat. We have move them in the room and hope this satisfies the heat for the alarm. Your stay was in June giving you a great rate however we do have rates change in July as the summer season starts up. Many guest enjoy the hiking and biking in Acadia National Park enjoying the easy access from our hotel.
