We spent 2 nites at Bar Harbor and this was a good location (and pet friendly place). We were pleasantly surprised with a hot breakfast esp during this Covid time.

Room was big and clean with a lovely balcony with a view of the bay. (We requested a ground floor room because of our dog; but I think higher floor rooms probably have a better view of the bay!).

If you're looking for a centrally located hotel with water views but don't plan on spending too much time in the room- this property is PERFECT. We stayed for 4 nights in October 2020 and it was everything we needed. The balconies have amazing water views and if the sunrise is clear it will leave you speechless. With a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and iron it had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, dropping off bagged breakfast every morning. We had our dog with us and it was perfect for that as well. Super close to downtown and super close to park entrances, it was a joy to stay here!

We stayed here October 10-12, 2020. The hotel was extremely clean, following extra precautions due to the pandemic and provided beautiful views and a great location close to Acadia National Park and the town of Bar Harbor.

We stayed with our family and dog in a pet-friendly room. There were no signs that any other pet had stayed in this room and our dog loved the vacation! Bring along a dog bed and food/water bowls.

We have 2 out of 3 family members who are gluten free. We always travel prepared and had packed our own gluten-free muffins and snacks. The in-room fridge and microwave were convenient. The breakfast provided was better than expected. A bag for each guest is delivered to your door with an apple, Nutrigrain bar, muffin, fruit cup, orange juice and yogurt. We were able to have a nice breakfast with our planning ahead and the fruit, juice and yogurt provided by the hotel. (The previous review made it seem like only a muffin and nutrigrain bar were provided and this is simply not the case.)

The front desk was helpful and friendly when we checked in. Room entrances are exterior-no interior hallways. There are elevators or you can choose to take exterior staircases.

Housekeeping went above and beyond with airing out vacant rooms for hours in between guests while thoroughly cleaning.

We just wished we had stayed an extra night or two longer.

Thank you, Atlantic Eyrie for a great getaway after so many of our other planned family vacations had to be canceled this year.

Room tip: all rooms have balconies with nice views

It looked promising at the check in .
We have notified the concierge that my husband has celiac, and therefore we requested a Gluten Free breakfast.
At the check in the nice guy told us , no problem , it will be taken care , and that breakfast box that will be delivered to your room next morning , will accommodate our food allergy .
As we got the breakfast box , we have noticed it is all Gluten .... muffin and Bar .
When we called the reception , the Lady said That she is sorry but this is what we have!!
So when we asked at least , to have one ready for the next day , the answer was , sorry but it will be the same .

This was shocking as Maine in general is very good in accommodating gluten free intolerance!
In every single restaurant, there are GF option for you.
It is kind of shocking ,
That in 2020 , where it is well known that 5% of the population are on a GF diet ... this nice hotel , ignores this fact.

The hotel is nice
The room is nice and clean
The view is breathtaking
The covid 19 schedule is being kept well

Too bad that it didn’t worked well for us

We stayed at the Atlantic Eyrie and was disappointed when they told us the heated pool was closed, they indicate in their advertisement that the pool is heated till mid October. If I had know they would close the pool I would’ve booked elsewhere. It wasn’t even cold at night never got below 50 degrees. The hotel was clean and views amazing from our third floor room. Definitely worth the $. 2 mile walk into town was a plus.
