Stayed here for 3 nights the end of September, room 24. We had a parking spot right by front door. Room was very clean!!!! The view from the balcony was fabulous. Short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We live staying here. It is quiet and peaceful away from the noise and crowds. Still close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Will definitely stay here again Would like to try in early autumn some year too

From the minute we arrived we knew this place is special. Jayne gave us tips on good restaurants, things to do, local road works and alternative routes. She gave us maps and a magazine about Acadia. Great first impression.
The best was yet to come. We were in room 22 in the motel. Talk about the wow factor. From the sweet smelling, crisp white linens on the king sized bed to the spotlessly clean bathroom and kitchen, still better to come- the view - oh that view. Lobster boats, bald eagles, gulls and loons.
We have stayed in some top notch hotels over the years but this has to be our favourite, so relaxing. Away from the bustle of bar harbor but near enough to visit within 10 minutes or so.
Of course Acadia has lots of things to do and see and we did lots but we were drawn back time and again to the porch and that view. We would stay again in a heartbeat. And we will go back. As soon as we can.

This little gem has been our go to place to stay in Bar Harbor, every year, for the last 14 years. Very close to the entrance of Acadia National Park so it's convenient, clean, and always safe. Your hosts Dave & Jane are always happy to answer any questions about the area that you may have, and offer advise to avoiding any traffic delays in the area due to infrastructure updates. We have stayed both in the Hotel part and the cottages and prefer the cottages so that we can cook some meals in. The views in the cove are great, some days with the lobster boats coming and going, and the occasional Loon crying and diving for food. This place isn't fancy just an awesome place to stay.

This our second year here at Edgewater Cottages. We are in a smaller cottage this year, but really like it better. They are all lovely, and there is a motel with some rooms with kitchens and even one with a fireplace. The prices are better than in a motel, and the little Salisbury Cove is so mellow filled with lobstermen's boats. It is so convenient to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The managers Dave and Jayne are so down to earth and friendly. If you do decide to come-reserve early because they book up quick! We will be back!
