My wife and I have been to numerous B&B's in the US and Europe and found this to be the best experience yet.
Jim and Anna are so personable and user friendly. The breakfasts are to die for. Jim and Anna take a great deal of pride in their 1802 circa home with so many personal touches from the umbrellas to the white noise machine in your room. This is a classic B&B and I would highly recommend staying here.

Sincerely

Gene and Mary Haines

My husband and I typically stay at Bed & Breakfasts when we take off on our long weekend get-a-ways. The Coach Stop Inn was by far the cleanest, most modern (yet with the classic, original charm honored and well maintained) we have been to. The bed was even very comfortable (that’s a biggie) The Inn keepers, Ann & Jim, thought of it all. Their meticulous attention to detail was much appreciated! Not only was the room cozy and clean, the breakfasts were incredibly delish and perfectly filling. Located on Rte 3, just a few minutes from Acadia’s welcome center & entrance and less than 10 minutes from the down town area, we thought the location was perfect. Highly recommend!

Coach Stop Inn provided clean, comfortable, and authentic Maine hospitality in a truly authentic cottage built circa 1806 for our four night stay visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It's located right on Maine Route 3, a five minute drive to the park entrance and visitors center, and about ten minutes to Bar Harbor. A great jumping off point for any part of the island. Jim and Anna are warm, gracious, and unobtrusive hosts who prepare the most delicious breakfasts one can imagine. We and the other guests we spoke with at breakfast marveled at how we spent each day hiking, exploring, and being awestruck by Acadia's magic but always, in the backs of our minds, looking forward to the next day's breakfast. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely, exceptionally well-maintained inn. Innkeepers Anna and Jim couldn't be more welcoming. Our room was charming and comfortable; we lacked for nothing in the way of amenities. Clearly, our innkeepers are foodies of the first order, and our breakfasts at this B&B were exceptional. We were here only two nights, but both breakfasts were delicious and memorable. Day 1: Cubed watermelon with ginger and mint, followed by Eggs Benedict with country ham, accompanied by Gouda cheese grits and garnished with bits of crispy salt pork. Superb coffee, selection of teas, and choice of fruit juices to start. Day 2: Strawberry soup, elegant and delicious, garnished with a large sliced strawberry, followed by buttermilk ricotta pancakes (light as feathers) in warm Maine wild blueberry compote with finely ground Italian sausage shaped into meatballs. We hate to leave and would come again in a heartbeat.

A beautiful little bed & breakfast just outside of Acadia National Park. We stayed in the Tavern Suite which had a bed room, bathroom, and living area with tv. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were wonderful. A great place to stay in Bar Harbor.
