Owner description: This electric neighborhood of 100,000 people is not to be missed, and it's not hard to find: listen for the clack of mahjongg tiles and nose out the salty spicy squid.

Chinatown offers some interesting architecture and some different shops to visit. Glad we saw the Dragons Gate but for me there are better things to see in San Francisco.

We enjoyed walking this district so much. Allow a day if possible as there is so much to see and do and also many places to choose to eat from too. The streets have incredible photography opportunities and there is color and vibrancy all over. Great gift shops for inexpensive souvenirs all over the place too.

We went here around 6am when there’s hardly no people around to avoid the chaotic San Francisco traffic. There’s old buildings here and there, Chinese lanterns across the screen buildings; that was neat. I really enjoyed the graffiti mural on some of the buildings.

Spoiler alert - the side wall are filthy and it smells.

China town is beautiful area full of culture and great food. No parking is free so down load the app and pay for parking that way. If you are looking for souvenirs this is the place to go. You can get more for your money here. So many shops and places to eat. This a must see place when you go to SF.

We visit China Town on every vacation, if they have one. It compares to Hawaii. Very interesting to see. Many shops and restaurants down several streets. We recommend eating at the Capital restaurant. There was a shop there that handmade fortune cookies. That was cool to see.
