Owner description: Home to the San Francisco Symphony, this modern structure created quite an architectural controversy when first built.

I only come to see they symphony. I came to see an opera once and didn't get out until 11pm (too late). This is a wonderful, attractive environment. The conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, otherwise known as MTT has a passion for modern composers, and I don't. I always look at the scheduled and try to go when they are playing older classical music, especially baroque.

I get to bring my class of students here every year for a free concert. The architecture is simply amazing. The acoustic is great. A must go to place.

My mother and I visited San Francisco to hear Helene Grimaud perform Shumann's piano concerto, which was as lovely as expected. The staff were gracious and cordial, and the symphony performed some unusually sensitive pieces admirably.
