From the moment we (6 women) arrived to the second we left our stay was nothing but unforgettable. The owners met us at the home where we were greeted with beverages and snacks. They walked us around the property showing us all the nuances which turned out to be invaluable during our stay. The roof top deck proved to be invaluable for the Blue Angels air show. We ended up on the roof every night of our stay sipping wine and looking out over the city. The location could not have been better. Right in the middle of EVERYTHING. The Cable Car was 1/2 block away and got us most places we could not walk. All the best restaurants are in walking distance. Even the Cliff House was a 20 minute Uber ride away. I could go on and on. All you really need to know is that this is THE place to stay. You will not be disappointed.
This isa beautiful home with three double bedrooms plus sofa bed located in the heart of San Francisco. Within a couple of blocks you can find a whole range of restaurants from cheep pizza, ice-cream through to higher-end Italian etc. Russian Hill is perfectly positioned with the Marina Area, Little Italy, China Town, and even Down Town all walkable (at least one way - the hills mean you might Uber back!). It's therefore a great spot for spending some time in San Francisco. It's also just a block away from a cable-car stop.
The house itself is beautiful, with a very comfortable sitting room, excellently equipped kitchen, and spectacular deck with views over the city and to the Golden Gate Bridge. The beds are very comfortable, and there are three shower rooms and toilets so if you did use the accommodation to the max (8 people) it would nonetheless be liveable, but is at its best for up to six, given the size of kitchen, sitting room, deck etc.
The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, including leaving snacks when we arrived late from the UK after a long wait in immigration. The beds are supremely comfortable and altogether the house was a great experience and very well equipped indeed.
It is in a very quiet and safe area, and the building itself is very secure with a locked entry gate to the three properties of which it is a part.
Overall we had a wonderful time here and would return if we came back to San Francisco, which we shall as it's a wonderful city.
Our family of 8 stayed here for 5 nights this summer. This home is in a fantastic location in Russian Hill neighborhood. You can walk to lots of sites including Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, and Chinatown. Excellent transit connections -- You're half a block from the cable car and one block from the bus stop. BJ and Larry are excellent hosts. They welcomed us with wine and cheese and gave us lots of tips for things to do and restaurants to dine at. Three bedrooms and a very comfortable sofa bed made for wonderful sleeping arrangements. We loved the rooftop deck with its awesome views of the Golden Gate Bridge. There's also a grill for barbecuing. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked a lot of meals during our stay. BJ and Larry made the arrangements very straightforward. We couldn't imagine a better location or better stay while in Sn Francisco. Thanks BJ and Larry!!
If you are looking for a perfect San Francisco home for the entire family ( we were 9) this is it. Its centrally located to all the sights, walking distance to fishermans wharf , Lombard st, etc. BJ and Larry leave no stone unturned to make your stay perfect. The pantry is overstocked , everything works well. They met us with snacks and wine . The third floor offers a deck where you can barbecue , have your morning coffee , or just chill with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge . Really so much more value than staying at a hotel
