“The cultural heart of SF”
Reviewed 11 March 2012

I love Fort Mason for the ever-changing parade of cultural happenings. From the Orchid Show to the SF Antiques Fair, to great dining, a stunning setting, etc., Fort Mason offers it all. Parking isn't always easy, so allow extra time for that when visiting a particularly popular venue. Check local listings for the various exhibitions going on at any given time.

“Went for the SF Chronicle wine tasting.”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

HUGE. Worth every dime. So many wineries in one place it is dizzying. Just be sure to get a taxi that is familiar with the location.

“Amazing Views of GGB & Alcatraz”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

After finishing a crazy day of meetings, my coworker and I decided to go on a long walk prior to heading to the airport. We happened upon Fort Mason and couldn't believe our luck. This is a gorgeous park, with great views of the bridge, beach, and Alcatraz. The park was filled with people running, walking dogs, and soaking in the sun. Head out near sunset so you can see all the colors over the water and get a few spectacular photos.

“Great Small Theater Companies”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

Fort Mason was an excllent place to find the small theater companies my wife and I really enjoy. It also had some excellent views of the bay and the marina. Definitely worth spending time at.
