Touristy, but must have the iconic Boudin chowder in a bread bowl. A free museum is located beside the Bistro and you can watch bread being made in their bakery. Tip: prices for chowder in a bread bowl less expensive in the Bakery on ground level.

We wanted seafood for dinner and chose Boudin from the myriad places in town. We made the right choice as the lobster pizza was outstanding and the service was excellent. Would definitely return.

The bread was so so (cold and stale) but if you order the crab mac and cheese you will not be disappointed!

First of all, don't get the upstairs restaurant confused with the first floor bakery and cafe. The Bakery & Cafe is wonderful! The Bistro upstairs was not good at all. Service was poor. Waiter said he would come back to answer a question or bring something we needed and never did. Asked my wife if she wanted another coke? She said yes, he took the glass and never saw him again. The clam chowder in bread bowl was so underwhelming -- loaded with potatoes and hardly any clams (chowder at Fog Harbor was 20 times better). Sole was okay. Other clam and corn chowder in bread bowl not good either. Best part of the meal was the sour dough bread from the bakery.
