Our stays at the Grand Hyatt have always been first class. The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are distinctive, clean, and very comfortable. The club level dining experience is excellent, especially the breakfast offerings. The location is perfect for shopping in Union Square and I always feel safe there. I can't wait to stay there again.

Best location ever for a visitor to SF. The service was great. Spenser was very cooperative on check in. Parking is 35$ but it seems this is the norm in SF. Extra taxes were added to the bill !! Other than that it was just peered the stay.

Visited 6/14/2018. As usual, service and condition of property was excellent. Wonderful location. Hyatt provides aconsistently satisfying experience. Hyatt points are easy to use and website is user friendly.

Stayed for four nights. The room was very spacious, loved the controls on the wall and beside the bed for the lights, blinds etc. The furniture in the lounge section had chips in it and is looking a little worn it just sort of took the room down a little. The bed was very comfortable, two bathrooms which is great for getting ready in the mornings. Shampoo etc topped up and the room cleaned well on a daily basis. The staff down at breakfast each morning were lovely, you know it's like little things like on the 2nd day it was "Welcome back ladies" and with the amount of people coming in each day I thought that was nice that we were recognised and greeted warmly. The other staff were attentive and had a great attitude as well. Fabulous location in the city, 5 minute walk to Chinatown. I'd recommend staying here. If I'm back in the city, I will be. There isn't water in the room, but when you're heading out just ask reception and they'll give you some, same when coming back in - too easy. Concierge was also great with maps and directions, taxis were called for us by the doorman when we needed them. Nothing was a hassle and it all just went really smoothly. Our bags were held onto during the day as out flight was at 9pm and there was no issue retrieving them. Thank you for an enjoyable and very comfortable stay.

Stayed for two nights during our sixteen night tour of USA. This hotel is nice but definitely our least favorite of all the hotels we stayed at. The lobby and rooms are nice but the bathroom goes back in time with a shower over the bath with a curtain....arggghh my worst nightmare, so gross and un hygienic!!. The soundproofing between rooms was pretty bad and we could hear the toilet flushing above and people chatting early morning next door!!. Breakfast is the poorest I have ever had traveling worldwide for many years. It was so tiny with minimal choice and food at hot buffet was merely warm. The dining room was also really small and cramped. The staff however throughout the hotel were always very helpful and friendly and can not fault them the only exception being house keeping attempting to service our room at 8am on the day we were due to check out at 12noon!!. We had good views from our room if the bay in the distance and the location of the hotel is great right at Union square. I wouldn’t return to this hotel again though, there are many options nearby that I feel would offer better value and amenities and no shower curtain!!!!
