We stayed at Adobe Abode for three nights on a road trip through Utah and Arizona. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable; beer, boxed wine, bottled water and iced tea were complimentary and the home is well laid out as a B&B with two large sitting areas. The hot breakfast was good and cereal, coffee and juice were available early (7 am) if you were going to be on the road before 8.

The owners, Keith and Judy, were helpful and have been in Moab for a long time. They mentioned that they are considering winding down the B&B and that showed with the level of maintenance we saw. The hot tub was out of order and several other things needed attention. Also, several rooms do not have a window that opens. There is a patio door but we did not want to leave it open at night.

If booking here, note that it is over a Mile to the nearest restaurant. There are taxis and Uber is starting to gain traction but we walked quite a few times. The road is very dark so a flashlight or headlamp is a good idea so the cars will see you!

Judy greeted us on arrival
Another guest told us that she was ill the following morning, when we arrived for breakfast, so no hot meal, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit
The next morning, although i had told her i am allergic to peppers, the hot breakfast was quiche that had LOTS of peppers in it. Back to the yogurt and fresh fruit.
Never met the host-Keith
House is decorated with much of his art work, he works in metal
Rooms have high windows that have no coverings. so sun enters room early. if you want to sleep in , that makes it difficult
There are large common areas in the main house. refrigerator for guests, with complimentary beverages is available Pool table in common area
Our room was up a flight of outside stairs

Some B & Bs can offer a great lodging experience. This is not one of them. The inn itself had promise but they missed the mark. The area seems more commercial than residential. Breakfast was poor. Room was small. The host almost seemed burdened by your presence. There must be better lodging in Moab.

We were surprised by the lack of flexibility of the hostess, especially at preparing breakfast. The business is a Bed and Breakfast but if you are vegetarian do not expect anything but cereals and fruit. We noted at the time of reservation, weeks in advance, that we were vegetarians and that did not make any difference. Otherwise location and facility was good.

Judy and Keith were excellent hosts. Judy's breakfasts were exceptional!! Keith's knowledge of the area was very helpful. The dining and living areas were all creatively decorated and very comfortable! Highly recommend this gem of a B&B.
