We broke our Jeep and needed to get back home to our dealer in Montana for warranty work. Our problem was a snow storm was headed our way and it was 2:30 pm, well after check out time. Lauri Smith, the Assistant Manager, with a bright smile, sent us on our way without charging us for the night. This was above and and beyond as the room staff had already cleaned our room for the day. Thanks again Lauri!

As hotels, motels, and Inns go, this is by far the finest Best Western we have stayed in (anywhere). Even though there are two BW's in Moab with three diamond ratings, (we've stayed in both) the Greenwell doesn't hold a candle to this one--BW should modify their rating system because in this case it is incorrect!

Thank you so much for you kind review. I have passed your praise along to Lauri. We do our best to meet the needs of our guests especially in unfortunate circumstances. We are happy to hear you beat the snow storm and hopefully got the jeep repaired. Please come back and visit us again soon.

Just got back from a trip over Presidents Day weekend, great location in the center of Moab, good size rooms, comfortable beds, and great off season rates. I had read one of the reviews that said the breakfast buffet was the "best ever" which is certainly not the case in my opinion, but there are a good number of options if you get there early. (I would just wait and eat at Love Muffin next door)The only downside was the soundproofing (or lack thereof)--we were woken up before 7am by construction equipment, (part of the temporary construction to the lobby and front of the hotel) as well as the shower and people talking in the room upstairs. Not a great feature if you want to sleep in--it's almost like the walls offer no insulation from surrounding noise.
I would stay again if I was looking for a good jump off point to both the parks, nothing over the top but meets expectations for a good price in the off season.

Room Tip: If you're planning a trip during the construction, make sure to ask for a room towards the back...

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I would like to apologize first for the noise the renovations caused. We are adding additional breakfast seating as well as a recreational patio. The construction of this project will be wrapping up this month. I also apologize that you were not satisfied with the options for breakfast. We do receive comments often praising our breakfast. Our guests really seems to enjoy the Eggs, bacon and omelets as well as the fresh fruit and large selections of cold cereals. I thank you again and hope that you give us another chance to serve you.

Respectfully,
Cheryl Covey

Location: awesome! cannot get any better than Center & Main Street.
Beds: need replacing; comfort just marginal.
Parking: in certain areas very tight.
Rooms: Good layout. Refrigerators in the room a plus! Nice size flat screen.
Hot Breakfast: Nice added bonus!
Front Desk Staff: some very good; others, cold and just going through the motions.

An improvement in staff attitude could bump this place from average to very good.
A simple: "thank you for staying with us" goes a long way.

Room Tip: Stay on the second floor.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay in Moab. I am very sorry to hear that our staff was not as hospitable as they could have been. We have been revamping our customer service training and I will definitely keep your comments in mind as we complete this training. I do hope that on a return trip to Moab you will give us another chance to serve you. Please do not hesitate to contact me at the hotel.

Stayed here for two nights in February 2012 during our visit to the area to enjoy the parks. The desk staff was excellent, the room was clean, comfortable and roomy, and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was under some construction while we were there, but this did not affect our visit other than making it a bit confusing on how to get to the front desk. Very pleased!

Thank you for your kind review. While we are undergoing some renovations to the lobby and breakfast area we have done our best to not let that cause any disturbance to our guests. The construction is wrapping up in March and we hope you come back to visit and see what we have done.

I have stayed at this property more than any other hotel anywhere. The reason for that is that it that Moab is an amazing place with adventure options far beyond any other city for its size, and this hotel has gotten better each time I have stayed. The hotel is modern, comfortable and extremely well maintained. Large rooms with the several room configuration options. The beds are great, very comfortable. If you need food and water for hiking or biking their rooms have small refrigerators. You can stay in the wild overnight after a hard day of adventuring or you can come back to a pool, hot tub, many restaurant options and a cool small city to explore and shop. There are many hotel options in Moab and near Moab that are nice places as well, but this is as centrally located you can get. If you are tired from hiking all day Pasta Jays (also in Boulder and owner by this owner's brother) is on the corner with the hotel a few feet back from the corner, newly rebuilt Peace Tree cafe is just off of the parking lot, Eddie McStiffs (brew pub) is right across the street one way and Slickrock Cafe across the other way. Walk to the end of the block to Zaks Wood Fired Pizza (and so much more) or a bit further is the awesome Moab Dinner. La Hacienda has wonderful Mexican food at one end of town and the Moab Brewery at the other end. With so many great choices of things to do, two national parks for instance, and so many good restaurants, you need a great place to stay to rest. This hotel is that place.

Room Tip: Reserve far in advance

I am always pleased to see reviews of our property such as yours. It gives me great pleasure to see that we have made a vacation special by providing accommodations that are clean and comfortable. Pasta Jay's the Italian restaurant on our property and the one in Boulder are actually owned by the same person. They have a longstanding reputation for their food and service. I am glad you were able to enjoy a meal with them. Please come back to Moab and visit us again soon.

My daughter and I stayed for three nights on a January trip to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The Inn is well-situated in the middle of downtown Moab within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Once we parked the car, we could walk to everything in the evenings, which we really enjoyed. After seeing a poster for a local contra dance gathering, we walked to the nearby Community Center and joined the locals for the evening, dancing to live music. Instructions were provided and beginners were welcome. The Inn's staff was great! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and a coffee maker, and there were two sinks. The room rate included a hot breakfast, which is a nice touch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the back. It was so quiet there that we opened the windows at night.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We get a lot of comments such as yours about how convenient it is to be located in the center of Moab. Being located within walking distance of most restaurants and gift shops makes seeing the town so easy. We hope to see you again in the near future.

No major complaints. Parking was tough, but only because a large group of guests with pickups & atv trailers took up about 8 parking spots per vehicle. We had a room on the first floor and the people upstairs were very loud walkers -- luckily they stopped making noise before bedtime because it was really loud. The upstairs rooms cost more (that's what they told us when we asked to change rooms), so be aware of that when you book. The room was very large. The furnishings are dated, but everything was clean. There was a noisy trash truck or something that woke us up in the morning, but that was okay, we wanted to get to Arches NP early anyway. The breakfast room is jam-packed crowded; guests were waiting for tables. Some people were just reading the paper, so maybe the hotel staff could somehow move those people down to the sofas in the lobby to free up tables. The front desk staff is very friendly and nice. We got good advice on restaurants and directions. The location of the motel can't be beat -- it's walking distance from a dozen good restaurants/bars/cafes.

Thank you for your recent review of our property. I'm glad to see that you were overall happy with your stay, and I do apologize that there were a few minor inconveniences. I am not sure where the miscommunication happened but I would like to clarify that our upper floor rooms are not more expensive, we do have multiple room types and rates however. In regards to our breakfast area being crowded, we are in the process of renovating that area to allow for less crowding. We are adding an outdoor patio upstairs. The Porte Cochere project will be finished in April 2012. We invite you to come visit after it is finished, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review.
