“Comfortable and relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2012

Stayed in hotel for four days . Very pleasant. The beds were really clean and comfortable especially with all the pillows. The bath was very clean, but a little cramped.. Room was really quiet and relaxing, even though next to a highway.. Great access to all the local attractions and Blue Ridge Parkway.. Very good continental breakfast.. Entering and exiting hotel onto a major roadway is a little tedious and tricky during morning rush hour, but patience is a virtue.. Price was reasonable and affordable and within our travel budget. Would stay here again and check for this chain or affiliated hotels for future travels.

My husband and I (34yrs old) stayed at the Guesthouse for 2 nights on a weekend getaway to Asheville, NC. The hotel was exactly as I expected (a remodeled outside-entry Holiday Inn), and even though the room/bathroom was small, it was plenty of room for the two of us. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable - only complaint I have is how loud the air conditioning units are (window units) for sleeping - but that can't be helped with the hotel set-up.

Check-in was quick, and the front desk workers were always helpful in answering questions about getting around town for us. The drive-way is a quick uphill turn off a major street, but we were never rear-ended, luckily!

We were only minutes from downtown, where you can park in a garage ($5) or take a taxi for $9.75.

I booked through Priceline and got the room for $50/night, and when we arrived, was told that I had booked a room with 2 queen beds, and that if I wanted a king, I would need to pay $10 more per night. We agreed, since it was just the 2 of us, but upon exit, realized that they credited the $20 back to me.

Would definitely recommend for a cost-friendly small hotel in the Asheville area.

Mostly I want clean, quiet and comfortable in a motel/hotel room. This was it! Beds are super comfortable, pillows were exquisitely soft to lay my head down and instantly fall asleep. Our room was on the back side away from the road on the ground floor, noise was minimal, all rooms have outside entrances. Room had great TV, fast enough WiFi, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and board. Looks like a place for a microwave but none there. The desk and chair setup is too tight, when someone is sitting at the desk, others can't move around the room without crawling over the bed, otherwise the room had sufficient enough space. Room very clean. Bathroom area is tight and the sink counter is outside the bathroom as it is in so many motels. I don't like having to dress and undress, brush my teeth, etc., while exposed to the rest of the room. 4 cup coffee maker in the room. Continental Breakfast items: coffee, juices, milk, yogurt, hot/cold cereal, fruit, danish, muffins, biscuits/gravy, waffles. All good except for the crowds of people, no seating left and access to breakfast is from front door hotel entrance only. Exiting the parking lot is a little tricky on the busy road.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back away from the road. There is a stairway in the middle of the motel to get...

Hotel room was nice for the price and was clean and newly renovated. There was a large gap around the door which made it impossible to sleep from all the street noise. Complementary breakfast was very good with lots of options and breakfast area was nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location is great and close to everything. I would maybe try to request a room in the back but it may still be noisy because it is a really busy street.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a room in the back of the hotel to try to avoid the street noise

What a great Hotel with an exceptional modern super clean room with great prices. This hotel is run by Mr. Patel who personally keeps its running at a exceptional pace. He and his wife on premises at all times. Also he has excellent stafff on hand. The contential breakfast is tast as well. So If you're ever in Asheville take it from the very picky guest, to give them a try. You will not be disappointed. I stayed their on the night of 04/16/2012 in room 317 in a delux queen suite.

Room Tip: Deluxed Queen- Refrig, 27 in tv. Coffee pot, Iron& BRD. The pillows are like butter, you will ha...

This was one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. The bed and lines were very comfortable. Cleanest carpet ever. The free breakfast was better than the usual "Continental" with eggs, biscuits and gravy, and great waffles. Our TV remote "died" and they brought us one right away. Some reviewers have mentioned the small bathroom; however, the dressing area right outside the bath made up for this. The tub was very clean and large. Got a great deal through Priceline at 45 dollars a night. Overall, much better than what I expect from a 2 1/2 star.

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs, Stay on the 2nd floor, and you can park in the back and go in on this...
