“Cozy and luxurious”
Reviewed 4 May 2012

The Grand Bohemian is full of luxury amenities--including a fantastic restaurant serving up local fare--but with a cozier, friendlier atmosphere than larger, more impersonal resort options. Every staff person we encountered was exceedingly friendly, e.g., "Would you like some more toasts for your cheese plate?" or "Let me print out the menu of the restaurant you're interested in." It's also a short walk from excellent restaurants such as Rezaz and Fig in the Biltmore Village. And the design here is top-notch with a French chateau meets hunting lodge feel that hits just the right balance between aubergine velvet and animal heads. No complaints at all. I would highly recommend staying here unless being downtown is a must.

My husband and I just recently stayed here for our 6th wedding anniversary. From the moment we pulled up into the car lobby we felt welcomed into luxury. The valet was nice and always expecting our next move with opening doors. The lobby is amazing! Check-in was pleasant and effortless. Judy, who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was delightful. From the music playing the background to the soft bed and fabulous decor. We ate in the restaurant and loved everything. Service was amazing as well as the food. Later in the evening we tried in-room dining and were surprised by how fast our food came to our room. Over all we were surprised and delighted with everything this hotel had to offer. Everything was excellent. We can't wait to go back!

The Grand Bohemian is located within walking distance of banks, shops, antique stores, restaurants and the entrance to the Biltmore House. The decor is a hunting theme with wild animal heads, antler light fixtures, dark interiors and different original art on every of the four floors. It is quiet in the rooms but only curtains and glass doors separate the sleeping area from the bathroom. The food is very good, the service impeccable and the staff very willing to go out of their ways to help you. The spa is TINY...3 service rooms and a small reception area. There is not a place to hang out and relax with tea or music. The common area to sit and chat is small, restaurant a decent size. There is not a comfortable place for more than a few people to sit and chat that has furniture all the time.

I stayed here for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend. They upgraded me to a junior suite that was very nice for no extra charge. The room service was also extremely courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable and modern. I would definitely stay here again. It's a little expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Directly across from the Biltmore entrance gate (note the Biltmore Estate House is another 3 miles past the gate), this boutique property is a nice place to stay. The hotel has an upscale hunting lodge feel to it. The rooms are nicely furnished, with large bathrooms that include a water closet, a stand up shower, and a very deep tub. Our 2nd floor room faced the busy street. A detraction was noise from the traffic all night long. The staff was friendly and helpful. In fact a manager noticed I was having difficulty printing in the business/computer room. Unable to correct the computer issues, he walked me over to his office, logged back in after hours, and printed what I needed. The valet staff were prompt and friendly. You can easily walk over to the Biltmore Village shops and restaraunts across the street.

Once you walk into the lobby you will know what I'm talking about. Beautiful hotel, amazing rooms with comfortable bed. On site dining is great.

Only down side is price. Due to the great location in downtown Biltmore, there is a little road noise, but not terrible.

Usually my husband and I stay at the Biltmore Inn but this time I wanted to stay off the estate to see more of the town. The Grand Bohemian was an excellent choice. The room was large, immaculate and tastefully designed; it had a sucken tub and separate shower and separate toilet area done in the most inviting manner; in fact you could look from the sucken tub into the bedroom which made both areas appear larger. The resturant food for dinner and breakfast was outstanding and we were told that other hotels in the area recommend it for guests who are staying several nights. The food and wine reflected regional favorites and the atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant. We will definitely return it is just what we needed from a long road trip. Oh yes the staff was great also and even let us keep our car there after check-out so we could walk around the town.
