Owner description: Discover the original Asheville Food Tour. In this premiere tour, taste the unique flavor of Asheville on our guided walking tours of the city's culinary treasures, in historic downtown Asheville. Eating Asheville one bite at a time never tasted so good! One of the nation's premiere food destinations, Asheville boasts some of the most exciting and memorable food in the South. Asheville Food Tours offers a sumptuous glimpse into this exotic world of local Asheville restaurants and gourmet food shops and featuring artisan cheeses and choice meats from local farms, crusty baked breads from local ovens, rich hand-made chocolates, dynamic wine lists and hand-crafted local beer.

Paddy was an excellent, entertaining, knowledgable tour guide for the Asheville Food Tours. We enjoyed getting to know the people on the tour. Paddy taught us a lot about the city of Asheville and we enjoyed ourselves. The idea is amazing. We loved getting to know the city. I recommend going on this tour the first night you are there so you can take the guide's suggestions for restaurants. The only issue I had was the choices of food on this particular tour. There were lots of sweet foods and sweet drinks- great if you are looking for a dessert or chocolate tour, not so good if you want more savory or dry drinks. The trick is that even the tour guide doesn't know what will be served at each establishment, so maybe the comment is more for the restaurants or for the person who books the tours- maybe a vegetable dish or a signature side with a beer or wine to break up the heavy food and sweet cocktails. We did have a half glass of wine and half a beer (an ESB) but otherwise we were inundated with very sweet drinks and fairly heavy samples. In no way did we leave hungry and the tour itself is a very easy walk and great for people "up for anything."

Take this tour with Genevee. The six sites we visited were all different and delicious. We will go back at other times. Genevee was informed about architecture and history of Asheville.
Great morning tour.

We love food tours at the beginning of a trip - you get suggestions for the best places to eat from a local expert, discounts for those places to use after the tour, nice samples (from 7 different places for us), and you hang out with fellow food lovers - there was food and specialty drink (alcoholic and non alcoholic) at every spot with history of the city and each restaurant. You won’t need to take another tour when you’re finished. Great bang for your buck and an excellent way to spend an afternoon.

We went on the Brunch Tour with Brandon and had a brilliant time! The food was varied and all delicious, with accompanying beer and cocktails for those indulging. We met at the bar at the Blackbird for the perfect sized breakfast and French press coffee. Brandon knew a lot about food culture in Asheville and he interspersed the restaurant visits with stories of Asheville history. Highlights for us included the chorizo stuffed hash browns at Bhramari Brewhouse and the shrimp and grits at Strado, but even as I write that I feel bad for leaving out the delicious curry at Blue Dream and the to-die-for chocolates from Chocolate Fetish. We went back in the afternoon for more donuts from the Underground Cafe. With so many participating restaurants, the guide is able to change things up for each tour. Highly recommend!

Brandon was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable of Asheville's history, the venues & food we were experiencing as well as a great personality. You will not be hungry after this tour! I believe that is a good thing. Perfect combination of food, drinks and history.
