“Great Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2011

Four of us ate at Zambra on a Saturday night. I made a reservation through Open Table but the hostess could not find it. We were seated anyway and a server was at the table quickly. The selection of wine was very good and we enjoyed a nice bottle of Tempranillo for about $50. The menu included both Tapas and entrees. We chose about 10 tapas including an amazing pork taco, ceviche, patatas bra vas, baby octopus, duck with clementines and a chorizo and shrimp paella. Overall a great experience and a very cool decor.

“Soooo delicious - and romantic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 November 2011

If you are in Asheville, you MUST visit Zambra. If you've been to Spain, it will remind you of your trip. The flavors, the dim lighting, the rock walls and grotto feel of the place - everything is authentic. My husband and I love Albarino wine. The waiter was so attentive, he let us try two to make sure which we liked best before we ordered a bottle. That is service at its best. My husband ordered the octopus with duck cracklings and said it was the best entree he had on our trip. My favorite were the fish sliders - phenomenal! We shared the delightful, spicy potatos bravos as a side dish. Every bite was a treat. With a bottle of wine, our main courses, side and a dessert, we spent just over $100. So reasonable for such a treat. Kudos to the chef and staff.

“Great Atmosphere and Very Good Food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2011

Zambra is a tapas restaurant unlike any other tapas restaurant. As is typical of Asheville, the chef displays great creativity, mixes cuisines and makes use of unusual spices. Because it is a tapas restaurant, my husband and I shared. The butternut squash soup was excellent. The meatballs with curry sauce was pretty good. The beef tenderloin was good. The empanadas were a treat.
