Wow, what can I say. This place had good quality everything. The beds were comfortable, nice dishes and cookware, some spices, everything was clean, A/C in every room, comfortable furniture inside and out, and the to do list was easy for last day departure. The owner was wonderful to get to know. I would go back in a minute if I lived closer. It is just a few highway stops from The Biltmore. Biltmore exit is 50 and the exit for the house is 53.
Our group included a retired couple, a newly engaged couple and an 89 year old Granny. It suited our group to a T. The exterior steps were a bit of a challenge to Granny, but with good help, she made it twice daily. We visited Biltmore, took a trolley tour of Asheville, and ate well. I texted Linda twice about restaurants and a TV question and got answers quickly. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking with great selection of appliances and spices. For me the real question is... would you stay here again? Our answer? YES! Thank you Linda and happy New Year....
We loved hanging out at the house and viewing the scenery the most. We had trouble navigating downtown because we had no idea where we were going but found a nice little locally owned pizza shop. My boys got to see snow for the first time about 30 miles away where they went snow tubing,
This house is the perfect place to stay if you're trying to get some peace and quiet in your life but don't want to be too far from things to do. It was so clean, cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. The location is also perfect, there's a trail near by which is great and the drive into to downtown Asheville is super easy. Overall a great stay and we'll definitely be back!!
This house was perfect for us! Our family of 4 stayed there a few weeks ago for one week, and it met all of our needs. We love Asheville and have visited there often from our home in Maryland, as our daughter attended college at UNC Asheville. The house is located close to downtown and to all of the things needed for a comfortable stay, such as good grocery stores, etc. Yet, it is in the low mountains nestled in the woods, with hiking trails accessible just a short walk from the front door! Linda, the owner, was absolutely terrific to work with! The house was roomy, comfortable, and well stocked with everything needed to feel "at home" for the week (cooking supplies, etc.). My wife and I and are two daughters stayed in the two, good-sized bedrooms on the main floor, and we didn't even use the bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor, except to use the laundry machines located there. The deck off the kitchen was really nice for meals and just relaxing and reading, looking out at the woods. It was a warm week, and there was plenty of air conditioning to keep us comfortable when needed, as well as ceiling fans throughout the house! It was really the perfect house for our visit! We loved the peace and quiet of its location, yet its proximity to everything we love to do in the area including spending time downtown! We look forward to staying there again in the future!
