Too much room for me for one quick night but great if you are in the city with your family and need full kitchen, multiple bathrooms, etc. Easy check-in system, concierge, full apartment with amenities insight a luxury apartment building. Use of mailbox and parking spot at an additional fee.

Tough, if like me, just in for one night and no where close to grab water or snacks. Easy places in Jamaica Plain to get meals and Lyft and Uber are fast and easy.

Clean, professional and easy to manage. Note this location isn’t downtown Boston, so plan accordingly to build in travel time to get across town.

At a hotel, would you rather feel like a guest? Or like an ATM with feet?

Last week, I reserved a room while in the ICU of a nearby hospital where a sibling is dangerously ill. Soon after completing the reservation, I received emails requesting actions I was in no position to take, like signing the online rental agreement and providing copies of the front and back of my credit card. I had booked with a borrowed iPad and then returned it to its owner, and was still in the ICU. So I requested release from the reservation.

I explained the circumstances clearly and politely. I taught business writing for years, so I am aware of the conventions of the form. In return, I received absolute refusal to acknowledge that there could be anything extraordinary about trying to book a hotel room in the midst of an ICU while watching my sibling fight for life. Instead, I faced an ice machine that insisted that a corporate policy was more important than a civil, reasonable request from a prospective guest. A guest who had already paid $270. for a one-night stay.

I had hoped, at the end of a painful day, to be able to anticipate a small touch of hospitality from a representative of what used to be called the hospitality industry.

I never stayed here. I never will. Next time, I will find a Boston hotel that is still in the business of hospitality, not just cold fee collection. If you know a hotel where that is possible, please advise.

This building is named The Serenity. It is listed on the front of the building.
We booked a room through Expedia which would have been a 2-bed luxury apartment for the 3 of us. Since I cancelled at the last minute, we ended up with luxury studio for a lot more money and with a single bed and me basically sleeping on a couch (pull out bed). This was a fully equipped and furnished luxury apartment. We stayed one night. I won't comment on the amenities, because basically you get ALL amenities. The amenities were not all that useful for us, since a one-night stay did not involve cooking, washing dishes, or doing laundry in our very own washer/dryer. Here are some other observations:
Rooms in this building are apparently rented out by a variety of companies. For this reason, the lobby attendant can get your key for you and let you in the building, but that's about it. He hands you a sealed envelope with printed papers, and off he goes. He has no information on or about the room or the accommodations. If you try to call someone, you may get hold of someone at a large company who explains that they manage hundreds of rental locations. We could not locate certain things or find our way around, and finally stumbled upon some other residents who helped us with some simple questions, like how to access the pool!. Other persons in the building were pretty much annoyed by us. I am guessing that they basically live there and don't need to be bothered by questions from visitors.
This location has no parking whatsoever. We asked about this, and the attendant pointed out into Huntington Ave. That is an interesting area to locate some parking spot. We actually found one down the street. However our car got parked in during the night, so it took many back-and-forths to wedge it out.
We slept the night, cleaned up after ourselves, and off we went. I'm still not sure about our responsibilities. So we packed up our trash cans, and took the trash with us.
This was a very weird experience. It is a very new building, and so I eagerly anticipate future TripAdvisor reviewer contributions.
