My husband and I just returned from our 3-day stay at the Green Turtle. We were in Boston to celebrate our daughter's college graduation. We couldn't be happier that we chose to ditch the high-priced city hotels in search of a bit of adventure along the water! The room was lovely and spacious, with a handsome and comfortable bed and a galley kitchen with sink, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. Snacks and juices were at hand anytime; breakfast was freshly prepared each morning and delivered at your convenience each morning--delicious. The mirror-image rooms are separated by a storage room in between, so you have privacy from other guests. As often as I could, when not off to events, I parked myself in the comfortable deck chair on the dock, watched the boats go by, and admired the city view. Bliss! Lots of plantings decorate the surrounding docks, and we were even treated to a daily visit by a nesting mother duck who chose to lay her eggs in the window box--we wish the new family well... Because of college moving needs, we traveled by car each day so can't address how the transportation from the site, close to the US Constitution, works out, but parking was free right at the Pier and our GPS was a lifesaver as we maneuvered around the city (oh, Boston!). The area was very quiet at night and close to the charming Bunker Hill neighborhood for exploring. Our hosts, Karen and Jon, were the best-- so friendly, helpful and easygoing-- just the right amount of attention and space. Our visit has taken its rightful place at the top of our "what a great vacation" list. One caveat to potential guests: you should have good sea legs/stomach, as you are on the water. The motion was quite mild, but we had perfect weather. Less salubrious weather might be more of a challenge, so be prepared, you are more intimately involved with nature than you would be in a hotel--but that was the best part, too! We will SO be back!

Room Tip: The room to the left is a bit quieter, as its away from the central dock.

if you are looking for a relaxing and unique way to visit Boston check out Jon and Karen's yacht! peaceful water, great accommodations, easy access to all that's fun and cool in the downtown and then a view of the city to die for. we spent the last two nights eating deli food on the deck watching boats go by... you can eat out any night but how often can you enjoy this venue. we have made wonderful friends and are already planing our next trip..

Had a wonder stay at the Green Turtle. Its so relaxing and peaceful in the suite/ House Boat. I have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts and Karen and Jon were the best. They Made you feel so at home and were so helpful with mapping out things to do in Boston. The breakfast was yummy and fresh. A really great experience and would love to go back.

We had a really wonderful stay at the Green Turtle Inn. Our hosts, Jon and Karen, were equipped with all the information one needs to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Charlestown. One highlight of the stay were the fantastic breakfasts that are provided each morning.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Green Turtle. What a wonderful experience! I really cannot fault anything. The accomadations were excellent. The breakfast delicious. The owners could not have been more gracious, warm and helpful. Having stayed in many hotels and b&b's I can say that this is one of the best!
