Yes, of course the Ritz has a fantastic reputation, and it is well deserved. We visited for 2 days this week and I was mightily impressed. From the check desk with Jariselle and Lauren, the concierge desk with Gabe to the club lounge with Emily, Lily and Isacc to our room maid Ana the stay was fabulous. What really made it for us was when we mentioned to Lauren at the Check-in desk that our son was going to order room service because he was feeling under the weather with a cold and when his food arrived it came with a care package from Lauren with a note wishing him to feel better. It contained cough drops, a package of tissues, chap-stick and herbal lemon tea, and then Priscilla from guest relations sent extra food, sliders and fries, and asked him via note to try them and hoped he liked them and felt better.... service is top notch! Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special. Great hotel and great people too.

The service in this impeccable. The rooms and bar area were also nice. The restaurant was good but not great and over-priced. But all other aspects of this hotel are wonderful. We will definitely stay here again. There is a concierge room as well but we weren't granted access but we heard it was nice.

I used Marriott points to book the room. This was the finest hotel experience I have had stateside or in Europe. The staff made it a very personal event for us. I felt cared for from the time I booked the room. We were in Boston for a Company Event and a Red Sox game. We needed to be at the hotel at 10 AM to drop our luggage. I was not expecting the room to be ready but it was. We were escorted to a corner suite that was beautifully appointed. When we returned from the game there was a dish of peanuts, Cracker Jacks, a Ritz-Carlton baseball and a personal hand written note waiting. Each staff member knew our name and the room we were staying in and greeted us warmly with each encounter. This was one of the best 24 hour escapes of my life. The location of the hotel is very convenient to all of the city proper. The plantings around the hotel were very impressive as was the roof top garden. I highly recommend this hotel and will look for other opportunities to return. They offer several luxurious hand drawn baths I would love to experience next time.

Room tip: Corner suites are large and sunny

Receptions and check in were fine, and personable. However, when i tried to log in to the Wifi in my room there was a $12.95 per day charge, which at these room rates was not at all reasonable. I called the front desk and indeed was told that was the charge for the Wifi.

Overall other services were great, if a little more expensive than I thought they should be and I am not the most cost conscious traveler. But where this hotel really shines was in the fitness club. There is a full fledged Equinox club for RC residents, and it is a spectacular fitness club. Great experience. But there is supposed to be a charge for this as well!

When i checked out I found that the Wifi Charge and Fitness club charge had been taken off my bill without my having to bring them up. The question is why even bother? it was a nice surprise at check out, but was irritating to think about during my two day stay.

I recently stayed here with my two young children (4 and 1) and the hotel could not have being nicer or more welcoming to these fairly lively children through out our stay. From check in, to Mohamad taking our bags to the room, and the scavenger hunt they provided I was really pleased. I would certainly recommend this hotel with children and would go back again.

We booked a suite room and there was a pull out bed in the sitting room that my eldest child slept in and we also put the crib in this room while my husband and I were comfortable in our own room to watch some tv, read and now have to have lights out at the same time as the kids. Great room size, lovely bathroom and some very nice gestures for our kids.

We had a really tasty breakfast there the next morning. Service was really slow although the hostess was trying to make up for both servers and really worked hard. This and the fact that the health club is shared with equinox and not that open for young children (understandably) is the only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars.
We will go back and we'd still have breakfast there etc... Highly recommend it if you are traveling with children. I'd stayed in the past as a couple and enjoyed it but the stress free environment they provided by welcoming my little ones was so nice and meant I felt much more rested then one night away would typically provide! Super convenient to the common/garden with the kids.
I will certainly go back.
Thank you Ritz Carlton - it was really great.
