Lovely feel just outside the book store, not a square or a corridor. Good choice of cold drinks despite limited space, appealing assortment of muffins etc. Good service, lovely space to sit and chill on a visit with some easy chairs and low tables. Well done!

We had lunch at Bravo at MFA on a June Tuesday, party of 2. We arrived about 12:15 and were seated immediately. The menu was pretty large for lunch but not terribly diverse; I had hoped for an interesting salad but the only option was Caesar. My date ordered a sea bass special and I had the crab cakes. Our waitress was polite and knowledgeable, helped me choose between two entrees and took our order, but then she was given a private party of about 12 - 15 people and we never saw her again. We tried to flag her down a few times to get beverage refills but never caught her attention. The other servers were also busy, although the place wasn't full, and we both ran out of our drinks and our water well before our meal ended. Throughout the meal no one came by to check on us, and we were there almost exactly one hour.

The entrees were not what we consider a good value. The portions were very small at a high price tag. The crab cakes were more like crab balls; there were two and each was about the size and shape of a small plum. While they were mainly crabmeat with little filler and were nicely fried, there was no flavor other than the miniscule amount of sauce provided. The accompaniment was supposed to be a radish and apple slaw, but it was a mix of greens including arugula, frisee, and radicchio, plus a few tiny slivers of flavorless radishes and apples in a weak vinaigrette. That was $29. The sea bass special was also $29 and was a piece of fish about 5 or 6" long and 2" wide, which seemed like about one-half of a fillet. It was served atop a small portion of various veggies. The fish had nice flavor and the veggies were fresh, but again the portion was very small. We ate all three rolls provided and weren't exactly feeling full. However we waited a good 15 to 20 minutes after finishing our meal before our server came back to offer dessert, and since we did want to visit the museum we declined.

We chose to dine at Bravo knowing it would cost more than the other options at MFA, but since we were on an infrequent date we wanted a more quiet setting. While the food tasted OK and presentations were lovely, it wasn't worth the price due to the portion size and the lacking service. Lesson learned.

What a surprise! We had left one of the exhibits at the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA), and getting a bit hungry, so we decided to book here, at Bravo. Wow, what a gem! Incredibly refined interior, very laid back but beautifully laid out. The service was good, not great, but we loved the food. Very tasty.

My friend and I met up for lunch right when they opened at 11:30 am. We had made a reservation and were promptly seated as the first guests to arrive. We both ordered the same dishes and raved over them: the smoked cauliflower soup and the grilled salmon, followed by cappuccinos. The service started out attentive and responsive, but as the room filled up we found the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and forgot about us. Would definitely recommend an early start!

Had a very nice lunch for Mother's Day weekend. Food was all excellent. My only complaint was it was so busy. But it's really not much of a complaint, good for them. Best to make a reservation in advance. Added bonus MFA members get a discount, very nice add on to a day at the museum.
