A nice statute for the man. Right in the square. Interesting and if you're into the Celtics team you still l probably be into it.

In between the Quincy Market and South Market colonnades at the Faneuil Marketplace, you can see a seated sculpture of legendary Boston Celtics coach, Red Auerbach (1917-2006).

Coach Red Auerbach coached the Celtics to 9 NBA titles and was a pillar of the NBA world for many decades. The sculpture created by Lloyd Lillie in 1985 is of Red seated on a court side bench, with a lit cigar in hand, a common image of the legendary coach.

Basketball fans will appreciate seeing the Red Auerbach Sculpture in Boston and perhaps taking a seat next to Red for a photo.

Note: Next to this Red Auerbach monument you can see a plague for Larry Bird, another Boston Celtics legend.
