Description: A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received many accolades in our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few. Beautifully remodeled in early 2009, the Brigantine is well-known for the signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Creme Brulee. The Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats. Home to the America's Cup until 1995, Shelter Island is still the yachting center of San Diego. The Brigantine offers glimpses of this busy marina from the outdoor patio and semi-private banquet areas. The Point Loma Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, and lunch Monday-Saturday. Join us for our signature Happy Hour.

Had a nice dinner at the Brigantine, which was close to our hotel. Food was good, excellent service, and fun atmosphere. If you are staying in Shelter Island, highly recommend. And if you're not, there are several others in SD, including on Coronado and in La Jolla.

Remember where Anthony's was on the Harbor Drive area? Be patient, a new Brigantine restaurant is slowly taking form as the old makes way for the new. This is going to be something! Just you watch and see!!

Brigantine is an absolutely first-class, top-notch dining experience that we first encountered recently in Coronado. And now it will be arriving here before you know it (or not).

As we walked down the Harbor Drive marina-facing path, we passed the major re-do project that is a bottom-to-top (as in pier to businesses) re-do. So, bye-bye Anthony's and helloooo to the new kid on the block!

We cannot wait to dine here on our next visit. San Diego, you have a real gem coming your way.

This place was recommended by our concierge and it didn’t disappoint. My husband had the cioppino soup and I had the swordfish tacos for a late lunch and it was excellent. We enjoyed the fried calamari so much we ordered it twice. We came back several days later for dinner and the sword fish dinner was crazy good! The sword fish was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back when we visit San Diego again next year.

We had a very good dinner at Brigantine. The service was great. The food was very good. I had red fish that brought me back to NOL. My wife had halibut served on top of lobster risotto that was excellent. They have a full bar and Wednesday was 50% wine night. We will be back when in San Diego.

Seafood is wonderful and the service was superb. Try to eat in the main dining room..It is quieter than the sports bar area.
