Found this place via Tripadvisor because of the high ranking and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious (I had the salmon and my husband ordered the elk) and the proposed beverages was really nice as well. The place looks pretty cool as well. Would recommend!

Do not hesitate to go there for dinner (or lunch), the food is really good (although for americans the portions could be small :-)), I absolutelly loved the coctail I ordered (No esposa) and the service was fantastic! I would highly recommend this place in heart of San Diego!

I've now eaten here twice. Loved it both times ! A new "GO TO" place for me in downtown San Diego.

This mainly a place where meat consumption is high, amazing food is served, and those that appreciate unique and great cocktails gather in interesting and funky decor.

Go to there website and you will see ! Too hard to completely describe.

They do have some vegetarian dishes. One I've had before were the braised carrots...man the best carrots I've ever had...but alas the last time they didn't have (some menu items rotate I was told). So instead I had the carmelized cauliflower (marinated in curried yogurt then pan fried to goodness with pine nuts and mint....mind blown as was not expecting how good it would be !

Also have enjoyed their take on ceviche (Aji Amarillo Ceviche; local snapper-pepitas-cilantro-lime foam served with plantain chips. I also like their Bison Tartare (with fried capers, shallots, fermented chili sauce, egg yold, and grilled rye). I think the egg yolk was smoked as as it had a unique taste and texture.

Last time also had the Wild Style Burger (with boar bacon, fried egg, aged white cheddar, truffle fries).

On the menu they have elk loin, boar sausage poutine, pork belly, lamb tongue tacos, antelope sliders, salmon, chicken, quail.....and their hangar steak comes with bone marrow bernaise !

Then there are the drinks....they are quite good, unique, and great strength. One of my favorites is the De La Louisiane (Rye, Cognac, Benedictine, Peychaud's bitters, Absynthe). If you don't like what you see, they asked on one visit what you like in a drink as they were offering that the bartender would create a custom drink based upon what you are looking for ! Beer and wine selection great as well. (I think they have made best places for cocktails list in SD before)

As far as decor and atmosphere...check out the website. Funky...subdued lighting from eclectic chandaliers, eclectic animal-centric take on known paintings.

Best of all , I found out last visit that they have happy hour from 4-6. But don't spread the word too much so I can get a table !

A have to experience dining delight in San Diego and a great place to take visitors or someone you'd like to impress...they will think you have great taste and it will up your cool rep.

Recommend reservations so you're not left out in the cold!! This is a smaller funky den.

Real great drinks, interesting dishes with great variety and creativity. Good flavours and excellent staff. I ordered a bunch of dishes, including the elk loin, rabbit hen pie, the mushroom trio, and cauliflower. Flavours were on point and not over seasoned, really allowing the ingredients to shine through. Eclectic mix of drinks and cocktails. Would definitely go again.

Décor was very unusual with an assortment of interesting paintings. Lighting was very dark. Food was exceptionally good. Had a pasta with boar meat which was extremely well seasoned, with fresh pasta. Excellent desserts as well. Great service
