“Experience U.S. History Aboard This Ship”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

We were on board the ship for most of the day and had a terrific time. There are so many things to see, and the audio tour (included in the admission price) was really interesting. In our time in San Diego, this was definitely a highlight. **Note that there are a lot of narrow, steep staircase/ladders to climb, so this would be a tough tour for anyone with physical limitations.

“An amazing tribute to those who fought for our freedom”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

While there was nothing we disliked, I must caution you - if you're not up to stair climbing, you will miss out on the best part of the tour - a view from the bridge.

The docents were well-informed, weathered veterans, some of whom served on the Midway during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. They were friendly and knowledgeable, made our visit a pleasure, and we thank them for their service to our country.

“Served aboard the Midway!”
Reviewed 15 February 2012

My boyfriend served on the Midway in the Vietnam war so it was with mixed emotions that we toured the aircraft carrier. It was a good experience for him to recall that time of his life and the place he called home for 13 months. I liked hearing his stories and those of the docents who work there. Seeing the planes up close was great too!
