The tour is well organized. The audio program provided enough information to explain, but not to the point of being boring. The volunteer docents provided a good picture of what life was like on-board and aircraft carrier. Their personal stories added color and a sense of realism to my visit. Most of the ship is open to visitors. Do not miss the guided tour of the island. It is well worth the wait. Some areas required climbing or descending steep stairways. Smaller children may be board, but they offer plenty of flight simulators and aircraft cockpits to climb into to keep the young ones occupied. I would highly recommend visiting the U.S.S. Midway if you are a Navy history buff.
