“Awesome for those interested in U.S. Naval history”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

The tour is well organized. The audio program provided enough information to explain, but not to the point of being boring. The volunteer docents provided a good picture of what life was like on-board and aircraft carrier. Their personal stories added color and a sense of realism to my visit. Most of the ship is open to visitors. Do not miss the guided tour of the island. It is well worth the wait. Some areas required climbing or descending steep stairways. Smaller children may be board, but they offer plenty of flight simulators and aircraft cockpits to climb into to keep the young ones occupied. I would highly recommend visiting the U.S.S. Midway if you are a Navy history buff.

“GREAT for all ages”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

I went there for a business dinner on the deck, and it was really a great experience. My father served on a carrier in Nam so this was a lot like some of the pics he has. You can get on and off some of the planes, and there are a lot of vet volunteers there who are not only helpful but are a reminder of how people continue to serve *(please take time to thank them for what they have done, and continue to do, as they are our vets).

There are a lot of flight simulators - lot of fun but DO NOT get on there if you have a sour stomach or get sick easily. Otherwise, there is something for everyone there and it is right off the bay near the base so you can see a lot of aircraft coming and going from the base.

“An Amazing Trip Into History”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

I enjoyed every moment of the USS Midway Museum. Seeing all the old planes and reading about all the history that had occurred on the ship was astounding. I took many photos. I would highly recommend the museum to anyone who is a history buff or people with an interest in planes and engineering. This site is one not to be missed!

“You can't imagine it till you see it!”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

This is a must see for all ages. It took my husband and I a good 3 hours to go through the entire ship. I would recommend getting there early. Before the crowds and the heat of the day.
If you have mobility challenges, there are parts of the ship that will be difficult/impossible to access. Still worth the visit.

Key for any adult - duck a lot!
