Fort Rosencrans Cemetery is on the way to Cabrillo National Monument and the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. You can visit it, or just drive past. It is a very well maintained National Cemetery with thousands of military graves marked by white headstones arranged in hundreds of rows. Just driving past, I find it difficult not to ponder the sacrifices these men and women made.

This cemetery is located in one of the most beautiful places in San Diego. It is also a idyllic location for a memorial to our servicemen. This is one of my favorite places to sit and reflect- and watch the sunset just a short drive down the road.

Worth the drive up with a stop at the light house. The cemetery is jaw dropping and well maintained, humbling to say the least.

This historic cemetery reminds me of the cemetery in Vicksburg only this is on a rocky point along the coast instead of gently rolling hills.

Fort Rosecrans Cemetery, on Cabrillo Memorial Drive, is truly a amazing spot to pay a final tribute to America's veterans who served this country so bravely.
