Description: Oceana Coastal Kitchen is the vibrant, signature restaurant inside the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa on San Diego’s Mission Bay. Opened in 2015, Oceana embraces fresh California flavors and a modern, marine-inspired design – including a quartz-topped cold bar embedded with mother-of-pearl and sea glass, an 800-gallon aquarium stocked with tropical jellyfish, and an outdoor patio that opens to panoramic views of the bay. Executive Chef Steven Riemer leads the kitchen and pays close attention to the use of high-quality, sustainable ingredients. Prior to Oceana, Riemer worked alongside The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ heralded Executive Chef Jeff Jackson for eight years, and he has cooked at the James Beard House in New York City and the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel. Oceana offers breakfast, lunch and dinner service with highlights including Sea of Cortez Scallops, Two Duck Risotto and more. Throughout the day visitors can also opt to sit at the cold bar, where handcrafted sushi is made before guests’ eyes. On Sundays, Oceana’s buffet-style brunch includes seemingly endless options like smoked salmon, fresh fruits, pastries and champagne. On Mondays and Tuesdays, guests can find flatbreads, sushi and craft cocktails for just $9 during happy hour. On Wednesdays, live music and $2 off craft beer is available throughout the evening, while Thursdays feature half-price bottles of wine on the menu.

My colleagues and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Oceana's patio. It's a beautiful open, elegant restaurant with delicious seafood (try the scallops!) and other local flavors.The view of the bay was incredible from the lovely outdoor deck. Service was friendly and the experience was enjoyable all around. Cocktail menu was also delightful Would highly recommend;

I went to this restaurant during the Restaurant Week. They have a special menu with a start and a plate, both for $15. The problem is that they just give 3 options and the things out of the menu, such as beverages and desserts are too expensive.
The food was good and the view is amazing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the Mission Bay views from the restaurant as well as the meal. With regards to the Restaurant Week menu, all participating restaurants in the city offer a prix fixe two-course lunch menu and three-course dinner menu highlighting select dishes so guests can try a variety of dishes. During Restaurant Week, ordering à la carte from our regular menu is also available for additional options. Thanks again for dining with us and we hope you’re able to visit us again.

Visited on a Sunday. Ordered the Sunday brunch. Tonya was our waitress in the outside sitting area and encouraged us to take our time. It was delicious and we started with the seafood buffet and sushi which was prepared as we watched. It included a variety of crab legs, clams and shrimp.

Champagne flowed freely and we also had coffee. You also select an entree from the menu.
The Prime Ribbon was recommended and lived up to its reputation. We walked along the water's edge after eating. Nice way to walk off the calories.

Love it. Would return. Worth the price.
