Our shuttle driver at our hotel recommended Blue Water as a great place to get seafood in San Diego. When we arrived there around 7:00 in the evening, the line was out the door (this is a "hole in the wall" kind of place). We returned the next day around 4:00 in the afternoon and got right in. And that involves standing at the counter and choosing your fish (halibut, sword, etc.), then selecting the presentation (taco, salad, dinner plate) and finally, the preparation (butter and lemon, garlic lemon, teriyaki, etc.). We found a seat on their covered patio and within a short time, were served our plates of sword and halibut with a small salad a jasmine rice. The fish was delicious and the portions were generous! We would definitely return! The bill came to about $50.00, but we felt it was worth it for the quality. But the atmosphere is VERY casual!
