We were very impressed with the Thousand Lakes RV park in Torrey, UT. The people there were very helpful and friendly and the scenery was beautiful. We stayed for two nights but wished we would have stayed for more.

We chose this property, for this particular trip, because we were traveling with friends who have a motor home, tow vehicle and large dog.
My husband and I stayed in one of the camping cabins. It was very clean and comfortable. We would have preferred one with a bathroom, but they were all booked with a family reunion. The middle of the night walk to restroom wasn't far.
The RV sites seemed a bit close to me, but they were clean, shaded and enjoyed the same wonderful red rock cliff views as the rest of the property.
Our friends have a Rottwieller, that is an absolute sweet baby doll, but her breed does fall into the category of some RV parks prohibited dog category so it was nice that Thousand Oaks allowed her.
They have a nice gift shop for traveler souvenirs, an evening group cook-out (that we didn't do, but looked fun) muffins and homemade breads, a swimming pool and large grass lawn with play area for children. The cabins have porches, picnic tables and fire pits. It was all very clean and the staff very friendly.
My husband and I probably wouldn't stay there again when just us as it's a bit busy for our older, retired needs, but I'd highly recommend it for groups and families.

Were on a motorcycle trip with 7 people, and stayed in the cabins. The cabins were very clean and well kept. We have a wonderful time here. I would recommend to everyone. The whole park was very well kept, and the staff was very friendly. If we ever pass through that way again I would stay again.

We stayed at Thousand Lakes two years in a row as we hit National Parks. It is beautiful. The views cannot be matched. There are trees. The sites aren't as tight as other parks. There is a large grassy area with a small playground that is perfect for kids. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is more than friendly and helpful. We stayed in autumn both times, and Torrey itself is gorgeous that time of year. We plan on many more trips to Capital Reef, and will stay at Thousand Lakes every time

My wife is not a fan of shared bathrooms but she looks forward to our annual visits to Thousand Lakes, the facilities are that clean. The owners and staff really are glad you are visiting and it shows. The setting is spectacular and don't miss Utah State Route 12, one of the most spectacular drives in the West and possibly anywhere.
