Days Hotel-corner of w94th and Broadway.. cost $150 a night. Motel itself is ordinary..but for the price fantastic value. On Broadway, next to met at 96th.Has internet, all night desk service, handybank, 2 double beds in room, clean.Other places we stayed with similar facilities and conveniences cost $250 per night.Rooms are small, but have everyrthing you need..and hey, if yr in New York how much time will you spend in the room?? Spend yr holiday money on fun stuff. This place does the job of a clean comfortable place to sleep with the convenience of being easy to get to, and the met at yr door. If you arrive early or leave late, they will store yr bags no problem.

Room Tip: Only 2 lifts, and area is quiet compared to around time square area - so mayb a lower level room. We...

I was in NY to attend a conference at Columbia University and the location of Days Hotel (94th and Broadway) was perfect. It's close to campus, close to a subway stop, close to Central Park. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

I checked in early and since my room wasn't ready, they upgraded me to the top floor of the hotel, in a renovated room- with no extra charge. The staff was friendly and the doorman- David- was great.

The bed was unusually comfortable for a hotel bed. Overall, this was a great stay and would definitely stay there again for business trips.

This hotel is horrendous. We had a confirmed reservation for a double room for three people. When we checked in the hotel was "sold out" and all they had for us was a "room" with two twin beds. I put room in quotes because it was more like a closet - small even for NYC. The room was moldy, dirty and everything was broken. Please, please, please do not stay at this hotel!!! SHAME ON YOU DAYS INN!!! This hotel gives other Days Inns whose management and ownership cares about quality a bad name!

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel!!!

Our family stayed here for one night recently while visiting Columbia, and I would book this again for another NYC trip. It is a bit older/worn, but clean (at least our room & bathroom were), and they are in the process of some renovations as evidenced by the construction workers & debris going in & out of the hotel. The location is great-- just around the corner from a subway stop on the red (local) line, so easy to get just about anywhere. No parking, but there's a nearby garage (added cost)--we were able to find street parking in our block, so parked for free. Added bonus: a little corner cafe on the same block, with yummy bagels & a variety of breakfast items-- did not eat there for other meals, so cannot comment on those. No problem with noise & comfy beds made for a great night's sleep:)

Can't get a better deal in manhattan. The rooms are adequate, small and can get noisy, but are fine. This is a great way to stay in the city without paying exorbitant rates.

About 5 years ago, I started taking my student group to the Days Hotel for our annual trip to NYC. It was a little shabby at the time, and there can still be minor problems with the bathroom fixtures, but I've been back every year, and it gets better and better. Rooms have been renovated, they now offer discount coupons for breakfast at nearby restaurants, the subway is incredibly convenient (right across the street), and it's within fairly easy walking distance of Central Park. But mainly, I can't say enough about the people. From the front desk to the doormen, they are efficient, friendly, and unfailingly helpful. Coral Castillo, who is currently doing group reservations, rocks! And while I was checking in, with my 12-passenger van out front in the unloading zone, one of the doormen ran in to tell me a van had pulled away from the curb a few cars up the street and I could park there for free the entire stay (Thursday through Sunday). I can't guarantee anyone else will get free parking in Manhattan, but the people at this hotel really go the extra mile for you.

Room Tip: Right now, there is free WiFi only in the lobby, but if you're on the lower floors, you can usua...

My fiancé and I took a spring break trip to New York and stayed at this hotel for four days. Our stay was wonderful. The room was clean spacious enough for two people. Despite being off of a major street (Broadway), it was extremely quiet and we both slept well.

Yes, the exterior halls show signs of wear, and yes, the room has older furniture and carpet. But unless you're a spoiled princess (as some previous reviewers seem to be), it's the same level of quality you'd expect from a heavily trafficked Days Inn or Motel 6 or similar quality hotel anywhere in the country. Our only complaint would be that the heater was a bit overactive and not adjustable (the only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review), but we weren't too hot in the room so it wasn't a big deal. Hotel staff were very helpful and professional. For the price we paid---$125 a night, and the location, it can't be beat! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
