Such a beautiful neighborhood and walking 125th street and then making our way to enter Central park made for a great sunday walk.

Drop the notion that Harlem ain't safe..... Manhattan has many faces and those I encountered on my last trip to Harlem were happy ones. Strangers on the street said hi!

Sylvia's is the place for soul food and great service and swing by the famous Apollo Theatre which spawned MoTown and has a Hall of Fame and a star studded pavement to boot!

Changing rapidly but still a 'black home' in the USA... The restaurants are very good and music too...

I highly recommend you take a walk in this neighborhood during your NYC stay. It's a very charming and nice place, with an interesting story.
While there, you should of course attend a gospel mass and have excellent soul food at Sylvia's :-)
(The view of Central Park from Adam Clayton Powell jr blvd is awesome!)
