A group of friends and I gathered to ride for a fundraising event through the city a Saturday morning in October. We all rented the "comfort" bike, so I can only personally vouch for this one, but I must say it definitely deserves its name! While we didn't try any of the other ones, they actually make you test your bike out near the business before you take off, so you can see which one works best for you before leaving.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to answer your questions, willing to share extra tips and concerned with making sure you are really set before you go - not once did we feel rushed. They were actually already expecting us by the time we arrived, so even the paperwork went very smoothly considering there were about 10 of us!
It was also great to see that there are some businesses left in NYC who are still willing to support a good cause and not only looking to always maximize profit. We reached out to several rentals asking for support for our cause. Jimmy, Blazing Saddles' manager, was the first and only one that responded, very supportive right away!
Thanks to this place we were able to successfully bike for 15 miles through Manhattan, Brooklyn and back over 2 bridges and through about 10 neighborhoods to raise awareness and funds for our cause.
We'll hopefully be able to organize this event again next year, and for sure will be reaching out to Blazing Saddles and no other for our rentals when we do. Plus, the location was just perfect to start and end our trip!

Rented a road bike from Blazing Saddles a week ago. Staff went all out to help with the rental. Alex was super friendly and helpful. I'd recommend renting from them anytime. Thanks for the wonderful service and experience!

Me and my mum rented bikes from Blazing Saddles and biked over the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn and had the most amazing pizza at GRIMALDIS for only about $15! Then we biked Back into Manhattan over the Manhattan Bridge and then went on up the east side to central park and back down again on the west side... It was great and one of the best things we did all holiday. The price of $39 was well worth it - the bike was great and you get a helmet, lock and saddle bag included.
The staff at seaport (where you pick up and drop off the bikes) were really helpful. This as a brilliant way to see NYC and we would both really recommend this company :)

We have rented four Road Bikes and participated in the WPFG Road Race event in Central Park. Bikes were in good conditions and we had no problems with it. One of us had the wrong clips under his shoes. This was no problem for Jimmy and he placed another set of clips under the shoes. The Marin Stelvio are good bikes and very light.
We also have done a night ride with the bikes from Manhattan to Secaucus. Lots of fun but not recommended for people who can’t bike
Great service.
Thanks Ed (Holland)

We hired bikes for about an hour and a half to cycle across the brooklyn bridge. It was brilliant and we only had to use traffic streets for a short distance, which was brill as I'm a little nervous around busy traffic! We also had a short trip through battery park too. It was much quicker than walking it, and as we had only a few days to get in as many sites as we could the bikes were great and the staff at Blazing Saddles were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. And
