We ate here on our first night in NY... Wow!!! The pizza was amazing and the decor in the restaurant was like sitting in an old Italian kitchen it was great.. Tried to get back there but just didn't have time a must eat for a traditional pizza experience in the heart of NY... I will definitely go back to this restaurant

After walking around Manhattan in crowds all day we were looking for a quiet reasonably priced place for dinner. We found this place a block from the hotel and decided to give it a try. It's a small quaint place across from the bus station which may not seem like the best location but it was.
It had simple Italian decor with about 10 -15 tables. The servers were very good and all seemed to be family. We ordered a prosciutto and arugula pizza which was excellent, thin crust wood fired oven baked. They called the size 'personal' but it was just enough for two to leave some room for dessert. the canolli were excellent with a fresh cream cheese filling, crunchy shell and some nice real whipped cream. There was some nice wines available and a few beers and soft drinks.
I think the bill with drinks, pizza, dessert and tip was around $70 for very good fresh prepared food as opposed to the $90 frozen re-heated junk we had at TGIFridays earlier that day. A good tip is in New York stay away from the chains and go to the smaller family restaurants.

After an all day flight and an early evening check in at a hotel around the corner, a solid Neapolitan style pizza (or two) and a salad to share hot the spot. A good selection of wines by the glass made it a great find on our first night in NYC.

I enjoy going for a dinner and it the plain Mozzarella and pepperoni pizza. Always enjoy this pizza as when I am in New York. The service is a little slow but after eating the pizza you forget everything.
