The hotel is in a great location and there is parking across the street on 41st street. The rooms was very large and the staff was very friendly. Our big disappointment was a 4:00 am fire alarm scare. NYC was already on high alert and it was scary. We called the desk and no one would answer. We along with many others went in the hallway and were getting ready to climb down the 32 flights. I called the phone in the hall for the 4th time and the desk clerk instructed us to go back to our rooms until they could locate the source of the alarm. The alarm went off two more times and the hotel announced for everyone to stay in rooms. We did not feel comfortable with the hotel's slow response time and lack of the source. We decided to get dressed and go wait outside the building. As we were about to leave an announcement came on to tell us that emergency was over and it was safe. I will tell you this-as soon as the first alarm went off-we saw firetrucks out side the building. Love and much respect to the firefighters of NYC. We felt the fire director did not take control of the situation fast enough and was glad to be checking out that day.

We at the Hilton Times Square want to first and foremost thank you for your comments in regards to your stay. Reviews such as the one you posted allow us to review our performance and make our experience better for our guests. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay in New York with our great location and large rooms! I certainly understand that the fire alarm you experienced at 4am was both a disappointment and inconvenience on your visit. We want you to know that safety and security at the Hilton Times Square is something we take very seriously and that we take every possible measure to keep our guests safe and informed. It is important to note that when the fire alarm goes off, whether it is an active emergency or a malfunction, that the fire department is called in every situation to ensure we are kept safe, which explains why they arrived at our hotel as soon as the alarm went off. At that point the fire department takes over the situation and we will perform tests of the system to ensure everything is operational after the alarm sounds. We always ensure that the alarm was false and sometimes that requires additional testing to be positive in our assessment of the situation, which is why the alarm went off a second time. The tests are administered quickly and efficiently to limit the impact such a situation has on our guests. We sincerely apologize that you felt uninformed during the experience however, and we thank you for your patronage to our hotel and choosing us for your visit to New York City. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel and have an opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Perfect spot for Times Square activity. Everyone, especially the doormen and bellmen, were friendly and super responsive to all my requests. Room was large and well kept. My room did not face 41st st., so was not distracted by too much light coming in at night.

My husband and i decided to take a weekend trip to NY and we had no solid plans. But i must say i loved this hotel; we arrived at the back of the hotel because that's the entrance for guests checking in. The door man and bell hop were very friendly and they assisted us right away with our bags. The hotel has valet parking which is between $30-40 daily. However, once the hotel parks your vehicle it costs everytime to remove it,so make sure you grab everything from your car. Anyhow, we decided we were going to walk the whole weekend being as though the hotel is in the center of all the attractions. I love this hotel great staff, beautiful lobby area and bar, and a spacious clean room. I would love to stay at this hotel again!

Had a wonderful stay at the Hilton. We had the king rm and it was plenty of room for two. Great view looking over Times Square. Staff were friendly and it was very clean. Recommend getting room higher up so your view will be better. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay for my first trip to New York. Close to everything

Great hotel in a very touristy area (Obviously)! The lobby is very fun and vibrant check in was smooth and easy. Rooms are clean and large (VERY LARGE) for NY Standards or Anywhere Standards. Very large. Convenient for tourists.
Brekfast in the restaurant was lovely.
I only stayed one night and was traveling on business.

Firstly - important to say I was staying here on points. If I were paying I think the review would be a little different.

The hotel has a great location and is definitely the right place to stay if you want to be right in the centre of New York. The new lobby is lovely and nicely decorated but the rooms themselves definitely need updating. They are relatively large for New York but the items in them, particularly the bathrooms, need a refurb. We had a faulty bathroom door which wouldn't close properly.

Stay here - but get a deal.

Ths is a lovely, clean and welcoming hotel, right in the thick of all the action. It was a perfect base for exploring Manhattan, with very comfortable rooms. We had a family room with 2 queen beds - the room was enormous with plenty of space for all. We had a small issue with the housekeeping - our room wasn't cleaned properly on one day, but this was dealt with in a professional way by Peter Arons, Guest Services Agent, who gave us free breakfast, and what a fantasic breakfast it was. Would definitely use this hotel again and would highly recommend to anyone.
