Overpriced cocktails in a handsome setting just about sums this place up. We'd tried to come here before on it's previous incarnation without success so on our final night in New York we sought out the Campbell for a final night cocktail treat. That was the first test. Although we vaguely remembered where it was it took us a while to find it and we had to pass through two sets of doors to secure entry. It has to be said that the sad mess of a deserted bar area between the two sets of doors was somewhat off-putting. No clue what was going on there. At 9 pm on a Sunday night it was very quiet so we were seated immediately. Cocktails were served promptly and, whilst ok, were nothing memorable. I've had better in a Marriott hotel lounge for a good deal less moolah. Nonetheless, the room was nice and the chairs comfortable. And that's about it. Don't know what all the fuss was about. I'd come back if I could be bothered.

Do a little reading and understand the history of this beautifully restored room in Grand Central Station. It's extremely expensive but a great place to stop by and have a drink...and they are excellent. The place is very cool. Just a heads up that we had our teenagers with us. We stopped in around 4pm. I don't think they would be allowed in much later than that.

This place was recently renovated/refreshed but it kept its charming decor and wonderful service. The drinks are great and there are some lovely choices for a quick bite. Alexis provided wonderful service and it is such a treat to go here after walking around Grand Central.

Insane to pay into the high teens for a cocktail...
I mean come on.
That said the place is beautiful.
Fantasies of being a railroad baron in the 1800's when you sit here. Maybe an extra in the Titanic.
Staff was pleasant, but.... Very annoying to be in that fancy a place and have to leave your credit card with first order.

A bit pricey but worth it. We hit the bar for a couple of drinks and a light lunch straight off the plane.

Super friendly service, amazing food (I had the French dip which was lush) and great cocktails.

It's a proper cocktail joint. They really know their stuff. Highly recommended.
