Even if you aren't bowling, this place can be a great respite from the hustle and bustle of midtown. We went in yesterday, walked around and watched the bowlers for a while, played a few arcade games and then settled down for a few drinks and a snack in front of the electronic fireplace, snuggled nicely in a big overstuffed couch! Heaven! The different themed bowling areas are really cool! Place is clean and contemporary. Nice place to grab a snack and enjoy oneself while the sound of falling pins echo in the background. Next time we will bowl!

I purchased tickets for the Bowlmor NYE 2017 function via Balldrop.com and wanted to provide a summary of our experience for others who may consider this event if held for future New Years eves.

We were a group of 4 and purchased the Ultra VIP tickets. The VIP line was moving slower that the general admission line but luckily we left ourselves plenty of time to arrive and wait in line so we were towards the front of the line when staff started letting people in at exactly 8pm. Despite this it was about 8:25pm by the time we actually entered the building. The check in process was slow and appeared to be very badly organised with staff appearing unsure of their roles. We were eventually shown to our reserved table which was an inclusion in the Ultra VIP tickets we purchased and all was fine until staff realised they had double booked the booth we were in and our party of four had to share with another party of 7. The space was big enough to comfortably sit 8 so it as awkward/ uncomfortable for both parties. The other group asked staff to move but were told the seating was adequate and they might try and find some stools, which they did not and we found ourselves some stools. Luckily the group was friendly, however, it was certainly not ideal or what we expected from the description of the ticket and price we had all paid.

The ultra VIP ticket stated it included access to the open bar as well as one bottle of champagne and one bottle of vodka for our party size. When purchasing the tickets it stated on the Balldrop website that that the price did not include gratuity that needed to be paid directly to the venue. This was fine, however, we were not informed until a credit card was demanded by Bowlmore staff when checking in and we were told we needed to pay a "service charge of $40" for our included bottles of alcohol to be bought to us. We were seated and then the bottles were bought to us and we were surprised to see the service fee was actually $40 per bottle so $80 total something not explained to us even when one of our group explicitly said "so it's a $40 fee total?" and staff said yes. We were also only provided with six tiny slices of lime and 2 small jugs, one of soda water and one of a watered down red drink and told this was all we got included with the drinks.

In terms of food, this came out sporadically and was largely a very basic and you really had to be watching the Buffet to see when fresh food was bought out as it was gone within minutes. So I would suggest eating before arriving.

We took a walk around the venue and noticed that there was very limited seating in the general admission area and people were sitting on the floor eating so we were very glad to have paid extra for a reserved table/ seat. Overall, we were glad to have purchased tickets to an event as it is New Years Eve in New York and therefore extremely busy everywhere, however, feel that the service charge was not clearly explained by either Crave when we purchased the tickets or the venue and the venue was not helpful when they had in fact double booked the table we were sat at.

We picked this venue for New Years Eve because it was reasonably priced (not including the service charge) compared to other NYE events. I would recommend this venue for future New Years Eves ONLY if people are aware of the additional "service charge" you will be expected to pay and also would recommend getting the unlimited bowling option as we had no option to bowl at all as the lanes were all used by those groups that had the unlimited bowling tickets.

We were just looking for something fun to do in Times Square on a rainy day and we found this cool place. The atmosphere is super fun and entertaining as soon as you walk in the door. It was great to bowl and play the arcade games - even for being an adult. It's an accommodating spot as well - they serve drinks and food to your lane when you're bowling. Although we did not order any drinks or food, there was the easy option. The bar is right next to the arcade yet seperated from the games. Bowlmor maintains the atmosphere of being a great place for adults and kids. Bowlmor is definitely not the spot for a serious bowler, but as I mentioned it is oriented for many different crowds such as couples and families. However, it is pricey but what isn't in the city.

The worst experience of my life happened to be the New Year's Eve party but I am glad it ended before the new year started and came out of that place. I understand surge pricing but for a new year event this place was worst with no proper food items on the buffet and no place to sit, this place should have had a free entry. Skip it if you don't want to ruin your time.
