The place is impressive with its water basins in the ground holes, and the garden surrounding it. We walked around looking at all the names engraved and looking at the new subway station which is an interesting structure. Then we went to an Irish Bar next to which there was a metal wall memorial to the firemen who gave their life to save people. Inside the bar there are emblems of all the different NYC firemen centers.

Glad that I had a chance to spend some time around that area with my friend, who escaped from the one of the Twin Towers on 9/11... She works again at the same area, and her story and insides she shared can't be compared with any tour guide explanation.

The chapel is a great place to reflect however it's in a very congested area. There are a few benches to sit however there was a lot of construction in the area and the benches were next to the restricted pathways that funneled everyone into the area. Something to see but not a place of reverence that is should be.
