Description: Acqua serves simple, fresh Italian food in a comfortable, neighborhood setting. Our menu includes classic antipasti, paste, and secondi, as well as light, thin-crust pizzas from our traditional wood-burning oven. We offer daily specials—many of them seafood, as our name suggests—and an intriguing selection of Italian wines by the glass and bottle. Our friendly staff welcomes parties of all sizes, from a romantic dinner for two to a casual family meal to a festive large gathering. We hope you will join us soon.

Now, let's not get into a fight over who makes the best pizza in New York. This will be debated forever. BUT if you're looking for an individual pizza that has a homemade feel to it, Acqua is the place to go. The rest of the menu is good, as well, but the pizza stands out. On busy Amsterdam Ave, not all that picturesque, but that pizza....

It used to be my favorite but changed the chef it seems. Their thin crust pizza still a stand out.

Not much choice anymore in this area so I still go there

The food is pretty ordinary

Really friendly place to grab a good pizza, staff were kind and helpful and gave us some of their time to chat rather than just rushing us through. A good selection of wines and pizzas were delicious!

When trying to find a nice restaurant to meet friends before an event at Symphony Space, the options were very limited. Our meal and wine selection surpassed expectations. We shared different salads and all had the lasagna which was excellent! Would return if in the neighborhood. Service was excellent!

It’s the best wood burning oven thin crust pizza. Interesting options for toppings. Pastas and fish usually good. Lasagna is a favorite. Like the fish too
Brandi I and salmon are stand outs. Nice outside seating so great in nice weather. Family friendly.
