We stayed for 4 nights from 28th March. Really lovely hotel, breakfast was good - if you go down about 7 it’s a lot quieter and you won’t have to queue. Saying that, the one time we did go down later and had to queue, we only queued for a couple of minutes anyway which wasn’t a problem!

Location is perfect if you want to do all the touristy things. Within walking distance of Central Park, Empire State, Rockerfella, Maddison Square Gardens, Macy’s..etc!

We also walked down to the 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty which is downtown! The walk took us just over an hour with a stop at a lovely little coffee shop on the way (can’t remember what it was called).

Staff were friendly. We had a problem with our shower and the maintenance guy was with us within 5 minutes, followed by a call from reception around 30 minutes later to check all was ok. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean and friendly hotel right in the heart of Time Square and the Theatre district. Perfect breakfast for a long day of sight seeing and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel looks fairly new and you have a choice of two breakfast bars in the morning. We came back to NYC for a trip to the 9/11 memorial and decided to walk from RIU Plaza, it’s a good hour but you do get to see lots on the way. The hotel is right in the middle of all the places to visit so is a good place to base oneself and is not too expensive.

We stayed at the hotel for a week. I had requested a high level room but unfortunately there were non available as the hotel was nearly full - however we were upgraded to a Superior Room on the 9th floor which was lovely. The included breakfast was as good as I have had anywhere with both cooked and cold options, eat as much as you like and lots of fresh fruit.

I enjoyed the diversity of the staff and the location was perfect for the Broadway area. The modernization of the private and public spaces is lovely and very comfortable. Sound-proofing to the traffic outside was excellent. My only complaints are the heat and the breakfast crowds. Fortunately, I could open my window a few inches to try to cool off my 80F+ room. Breakfast was so crowded as to be uncomfortable, perhaps even unsafe.

The Hotel Riu Plaza New York Time Square is a great place to stay. It is very convenient to many attractions. It is located at the edge of Restaurant Row; it is a very short walk (3 minutes) to Times Square; a ten minute walk to the Port Authority and a few steps more you are at Penn Station. The service is as one would expect from a very nice NYC hotel. The offer a full buffet breakfast which included all the breakfast favorites.
