My room was small, but functional and clean. The staff is warm and welcoming. The lobby is hip, which these days apparently means noisy. If you want to meet business colleagues for a discussion you might find that loud music hinders that effort. "It is like being in a really unpopular nightclub," is how I described it to friends (a bit like the W hotel down the street; if you like the W you will like the Novotel). It is too bad that they can't separate the pseudo-hip part of the lobby from a "quiet lobby for boring people".
The terrace wraps around the building and has good views of Times Square. When the music isn't pumping it is a very pleasant place to be.More
