“Local Theatre at it's best!”

The Utah Shakespearian Festival is the love and passion of Fred Adams and has actually won a "Tony" for best regional theatre! Over it's rich twenty plus year history it has grown into one of the best outdoor theatre events in the country and is well worth the trip to Cedar City, UT. One little known fact is the Adams Theatre also puts on a full program of "other plays" for those of us who are not true Shakespear lovers which are every bit as good as the ones we have seen on Broadway. This is just an all around class event and one you will not be sorry to have seen!

“A Utah Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2012

This festival offers not only wonderful Shakespearean plays but 4 or 5 non-Shakespearean plays during June-October every year. Actors and directors and other staff and crew come from all over the country and do an excellent job of presenting these plays. I try to see all of them each year.

“Terrific theatre!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2012

Full disclaimer - I live in Cedar City and part of the reason we moved here was the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
I have attended all plays since 2004. Overall, very high quality productions. The Festival atmosphere is amazing - so many activities, from play orientations, production seminars where you learn about the costumes and set, literary seminars the morning after where you share your questions and reactions, and tarts and chocolates during the Green Show. It all works together to create magic.
