This place is the bees knees! Concierge is great! We got upgraded to a fabulous room. Lobby is great for people watching. Great bar. Great Resturaunt, Waitstaff was incredible. Hotel offers free shuttle service around the city which is a truly wonderful perk for roadtrippers who want to dump their car for a few days. Little Rock is a gem of a little city and the only place I would stay is The Capital.

Room Tip: Bed and Pillows were the BEST

The Capital Hotel ranks with the best of the best anywhere. Beautiful rooms, a spectacular lobby, a four-star restaurant, a popular bar and grill with live weekend jazz, classic decor, and many amenities—what's not to like? At Christmas it boasts one of the city's most beautiful trees, and a chamber group from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra occasionally plays in the lobby. You can sit out on the balcony with a cocktail or a glass of wine and watch the world go by, or enjoy a delicious breakfast or brunch, a wonderful bento box lunch, a snack or special coffee drink at the bar of One Eleven, or join the crowd at the Capital Bar & Grill for its signature fried black-eyed peas and an out-of-this-world duck pot pie, a salad or a sandwich. Scrumptious all-inclusive buffets are offered on major holidays. Don't forget to look up at the beautiful stained glass ceiling and appreciate the fantastic flower arrangements. The hotel is situated across the street from the convention center, the Old State House museum, and the river walk along the Arkansas River, a few blocks from RiverMarket, the Vogel Sculpture Garden, a fascinating wildlife center, the Butler Institute, and the Clinton Library on a street lined with boutiques, gift shops, galleries, restaurants, and boutiques.

The staff were overly accommodating. I called ahead to inquire about earlier breakfast options to align with our extra early schedule. The manager made it happen for us with no questions or problems whatsoever. This hotel was perfect all around. The bar and grill was delicious (drinks and food). The room was spacious, lovely, and super clean. Loved the chocolate covered toffee token, yummy! Complimentary soaps and lotions were a classy touch as well. We were always greeted with a smile and helpful attitude from each staff member. While this hotel is an expensive option, the location, safety, cleanliness, courteous staff, on site restaurants, and overall ambiance are well worth every penny! We will be back and absolutely recommend a stay here for a one-of-a-kind experience.

This was exactly what we wanted, though we arrived on a Saturday and it is sleepy downtown on weekend days during off season. Beautiful, wide open lobby with fresh flowers and fine furniture groupings throughout, we were escorted to our room by a young concierge. Everything you expect in a historic hotel: high ceilings with beautiful wood molding and fixtures, cool old elevators (gigantic) and elegant public areas. The bedtime toffee was excellent. The hotel seems to have a gaggle of young concierges around at all times, and everyone was really polite. Turns out the lobby bar is quite a scene on Sat night with well dressed young couples drinking fancy cocktails and a GREAT Jazz trio playing in the lobby.
Oh did I mention that it is walking distance to the Clinton Memorial Library? We also crossed the river and walked to a comedy club on the north side. Would stay here again.

You won't get better service anywhere than this historic hotel. From the moment you pull up for valet, someone has your bags and literally takes you to your room. The elevator is the widest you'll ever see. Supposedly, it was for President Grant's horse when the exec visited. Convenient to everything downtown. Loved it!
