I moved halfway across the country for a job. The last thing I wanted to do was plunk down over a grand for a site unseen apartment. The best option was a long term stay hotel. I researched and read the reviews. I was a bit afraid of this place b/c of what I had read. Let me be clear-this is not the Hilton. HOWEVER, it is more than acceptable. Yes, the room is small. But it is clean and bug free. The A/C is super and keeps the room very comfortable. The kitchenette is tiny, but what do you expect? It's not a true apartment. Two burner electric stove, microwave and apartment sized refrigerator. All very clean and in excellent working order. The bathroom does not have a tub which is not a problem for me.
Some things I have heard complained about:
*You only get one roll of toilet paper.-True, but so what? Buy a 4 pack at Wal-Mart for $2 and deal with it. Besides, I'd rather use what I am used to than the scratchy institutional standards.
*You get two towels and two washcloths that you can keep. They are thin and scratchy.-Again, so what? Bring your own or hit up Wal-Mart again.
These two "problems" are pretty petty considering the value of a motel room with a kitchenette. Being able to store and cook your own food is a huge savings and more than makes up for the other issues.
If there is anything I personally would complain about, it is the bed. It is way too firm for my liking. There were also two thin pillows with it and it has no blanket, just a fitted sheet, top sheet and quilt. But like I said above, so what? I bought two more pillows from wally world. And it's hot here-why do you need more than a top sheet and a quilt? I will just have to get used to the bed as it beats sleeping on the floor!
This is not meant to be a snarky review, but I can see where it's kind of reading like that. Truly, I just wanted to express that this isn't a bad place. It is a godsend for someone like me who had limited options and funds.
I would 100% recommend InTown Suits at El Paso.
