My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to St. Mary's and Cumberland Island for my birthday. Prior to us coming he and the owner Mary exchanged various emails on making sure everything was planned for in advance. When we got to the B&B and met Mary she was just as helpful and sweet as she had been before our stay. She had great suggestions for what to do in town, where to eat, and tips for our Cumberland Island visit the next day. The B&B itself was adorable and very cozy. The breakfast in the morning was awesome and we were even able to have packed lunches prepared for us for the island trip that were packed in an insulated lunch box that kept everything nice and cold the entire day. My only complaint about the stay was that it wasn't long enough. We will definitely be back!

Stayed for one night and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Room was small but we were aware of that when booking and it was on of the less expensive ones. Great base for exploring st Mary's.

I'm glad we found Spencer House Inn for the two nights we spent in St. Mary's. The Inn is beautifully appointed and is close to the ferry terminal for trips to Cumberland Island. Hostess Mary Neff prepared an excellent lunch for us to take with us to Cumberland Island, and she also was very good about catering to our food preferences and food allergies. She also gave us the lowdown on area restaurants.

Staying at the Spencer House Inn was truly a memorable experience. Months before we arrived, Mary Neff helped us plan our wedding - from finding us a wonderful Pastor, making the ferry reservations to Cumberland Island, to finding restaurants for our reception...and so much more. She thought of every detail during our stay as well. The service they provide is beyond excellent - the best we've experienced. I'm thoroughly impressed with the inn, the owners and the location. The rooms were beautiful with comfortable beds and furniture, nice amenities, and every touch was there - fresh flowers, etc. The breakfast was wonderful with a hot cooked meal and pastries that vary from day to day. Mike Neff is an awesome cook. We can't say enough good things about our stay. We will be back!

We arrived late in St. Marys, leaving for Cumberland Island the next morning, and found Spencer House Inn by chance. We didn't stay long but truly appreciated the friendly reception, charming historic atmosphere and great breakfast!
