My wife and I stayed at the Spencer House for three nights July 26-28 2013. Our room was 302. Everything was exceptionally clean, housekeeping very thorough each day we were there. Upon arrival we were given a tour of the building and upgraded to a queen bed room after looking at the double bed room. In 1872 this building was constructed as a hotel. An elevator was added during one of the upgrades. Breakfast was well prepared and diverse each morning with homemade breads and jams. The staff was very friendly and prepared our lunch to take to Cumberland Island National Seashore on Sunday 7-28. Spencer House exceeded all of our expectations and made our 35 anniversary very special.
